Snowfall had already found the Kingdom of Sand miserable, but being stuck in the palace with villains running around was so much worse.
"This is the worst!" Snowfall yelled. "We'll be okay." Lynx said, trying to reassure her. One of her ears twitched.
"Did you hear that?"
Snowfall listened. Sure enough, she heard voices and talonsteps coming towards her and her wife.
And one of them she recognized.
"Hide." Snowfall said. The two IceWings were quickly concealed by the Gift of Stealth, just as Scarlet and Wasp rounded the corner.
"Soon, I'll have my kingdom back," Scarlet said. "and I'll be able to see you in my Royal chambers."
Wasp grinned. "Sounds like fun. But first you need to kill your daughter."
Scarlet flicked her tongue in and out. "And you need to get rid of your cousin. I'll see you then. It will be truly thrilling."
Scarlet then left.
"Go," Snowfall said to Lynx.
"What, no! I'm not leaving you here!" Lynx said.
"If you stay, you could get killed, and I don't want that." Snowfall said. "And I want to fight Wasp."
"Okay." Lynx said. Snowfall could feel her claws gripping hers. "Just, be careful."
"I will." Snowfall said. As she listened, Lynx ran away. Snowfall then revealed herself.
Wasp jumped back, then recognized her. "You!" She yelled.
Snowfall flexed her claws. "How good are you at fighting?"
