S3 - chapter 2

Arnav returned home along with rest of the Raizadas and Aarav and Shital. At the same time Khushi came there from Nani's room. He was about to go to her, when his brain reminded him that he was still angry at her for going behind his back and doing that DNA test. So, he sat there along with Sheetal and Aarav and everyone else, enjoying Khushi's irritated look...

"It was so much of fun bhai, you play really well." Aakash said excitedly. 

"This is nothing Aakash, you should have seen me and Sheetal in college time. Didn't we have a cool nickname shital? I can't recall." Arnav replied Aakash while knowingly pulling Shital in the conversation to annoy Khushi. Shital blushed hearing him remember their college days and particularly about the two of them...

"It was awesome-twosome. In fact, Arnav used to play for our college team, he was a very good basketball player." Shital said nudging his shoulder while Arnav's smile widened for two reasons. One, he was getting praised and that was a ego boost and second, Shital's flirting (which was obvious to him) was adding fuel to the fire he saw in Khushi's eyes. So, he decided to add some more to it...

"Come on Sheetal, not as good as you. You defeated me then, remember?" He said with a charming smile, making Shital blush...

"But when we teamed together, no one stood a chance, hain na?" Shital cooed in a sugary tone

"Wow! ASR, can I also join your and mom's team? we will be awesome-threesome."" Aarav chimed in and raised his hand to hi-five Arnav

And Khushi had enough. She gave one sharp glance at the trio and left from there.

What Arnav perceived as her being upset, was in actuality Khushi getting ready to give it back to him sood samet (with interest)!

Knowing that the stunt he pulled downstairs would have had its effect and by now, Khushi would be super upset, which would make him easy to give her more guilt as she started this, he stepped in their bedroom. If she didn't bring shital home, or did that DNA test, he wouldn't have to do this...In all this, he conveniently ignored a small voice in his head that said, 'but you also didn't tell her anything at first, you also did not trust her. and she had every reason to be upset, seeing you flirt with your ex-girlfriend right in front of her.' he ignored that voice...

And then, the scene in front of him made him shocked.

"Khushi what's going on?" Arnav watched as Khushi pulled out a spare blanket and pillow

"Sleeping arrangements for guest room" she said without looking up

Oh no! This was not what he wanted.

"No! why will you sleep in guest room? I will not let you." he said pulling pillow out from her. He knew she was upset, but he had expected her to fight with him, not give up. Little did he know about her intentions...

"Hum(me)? Who told you I am sleeping there? It's for you, Arnavji." she said matter of fact-ly and he was shocked

"What the- khushi pagal ho gayi ho? Why will I sleep there?" he asked flabbergasted

"Because it's nearest from shitalji's room, Arnavji" she said as if it was most obvious thing, but he narrowed his eyes at her. She still continued, "you guys can chit chat whole night. Hmm? Bore ho toh awesome-threesome team sath mein basketball match khel lena (if you get bored, you can have another basketball game with awesome threesome)." she taunted him subtly.

"There it is! I know you are mad about-" he said in a clipped voice

"Why would I be? Ab aapke aise pata nahi kitne "meant nothing" aate rahenge (now who knows how many of your "meant nothings" will keep coming), will I spoil my mood every time for them?" she asked, shocking him with her stance!
