August POV-

"Mommy. What's up?" I said to my mother over face time.

"I thought you was still in Boston?" She said sitting on her couch.

"Nah I came back yesterday. My girl picked me up from the airport." I yawned.

My mother looked at me. "Girl? You mean a girl? One of dem girls you messing with."

"No my girl. My actual girl."

"When this happen?"

"While we was on tour. She my publicist."

This was the look on my mother's face 😩😩😩😩😩.

"August Anthony Alsina Jr. I den told you a million times. You need to do background checks, credit reports, std histories all that before you start calling somebody your girl."

I laughed at my mother. She was insanely over protective.

"Ma chill. She a good girl."

"Hmf. Good girl my ass. That innocent act goes straight out the window the moment you claim them."

"Mama find your chill. Fareal. Jazz not like that. She got her own money. She got her own PR firm. And she definitely not into this fame stuff. That's why I haven't really broadcasted it."

"Is she white?"

"No mama." I laughed.

"Latino?"

"No! She's black."

"Good. I hate when black folks get famous and feel they too good for a black girl."

"You want to see her?"

"I guess." My mother self less than enthused.

I laughed and sent her a picture of Jazz I took in London, next to one of their phone booths by the hotel.

"Wow Ant. You picked her?"

"Who else Ma? You think I got T picking random women out the crowd."

"Boy don't get smart with me."

"I'm just saying." I laughed.

"She's beautiful. I can get with her. I wouldn't have expected you to pick somebody like her."

"Why you think Im vain?"

"Yes I thought so."

"Honestly I didn't expect to either but I don't know, it was like the more I was around her, the more I wanted her. She explained my music to me in a way nobody did. She wasn't after fame or money. She was into just me. I don't know. I love her Ma. Like a lot. And I don't really know why. "

"Look at Auggie growing a heart. "
My mother laughed.

"Is that crazy to love someone and not know why?"

"No. You'll figure out as the relationship progresses. It's probably a quality she has that you can't quite verbalize yet cause it's new."

"Yeah you right."

"She can cook right?"

"No. That's why I called you. I want to bring her down there so you can teach her."

"Oh God. And my baybeh already skinny. Yes come down here ASAP."

"Ma stop." I laughed.

"When y'all gon come?"

"Next weekend if her schedule clear."

"Aight. Well let me know."

"Aight. Love you Ma."

"Love you too. Bye."

We hung up.

Jazmine POV-

I was feeling some type of way about some of the things August said this morning. On one hand I knew he was playing. But they did kind of sting a little.

I was in my bed going over some files when my doorbell rang.

I went to get it. When I opened it I smiled. August had this huge life size bear that was almost bigger than him.

"This for you." He handed it to me.

I closed the door behind him, then took the bear. We walked to my room.

"It's cute baby." I got on my bed with it.

"You wasn't hurt by what I was saying this morning was you? I was just playing." He took off his shoes and got on my bed.

"A little. You were kind of mean to me." I laid on my new bear and looked at him.

"I'm sorry for that. You know I love you. And I didn't mean to be outright mean like that. I was joking. I'mma watch my mouth. Cause I was talking to D about it and he said I might've been too harsh."

"It's okay." I pecked his lips.

"And you right, I should be encouraging you. So I'm going to take you to New Orleans."

"What you mean?"

"If you gon learn how to cook from anybody it gotta be my Ma Dukes. I called her and we gon go down there next weekend. You busy?"

"No. But I'm nervous about meeting your mother." I cheesed shyly.

"She sweet. She ain't on that."

"You sure cause I read an interview where you said your mother was like stay away from these hoes." I laughed.

"She did say that. But you a good girl. She not gon bother you. She just mad you can't cook it. She like my baybeh already skinny." He mocked his mothers voice.

"It's funny how you say baby vs. baybeh."
I laughed at the difference.

"But I told her a little something something about you. She was impressed."

"What did you say?" I smiled wanting to know.

"I'm not gon tell you. You already got a big head and I'm not about to blow it up anymore."

"Please baby." I pecked his lips and ran my hand down his cheek.

"That you was beautiful. That you was smart even though you don't know the difference between a steak and a lamb chop. "

He kissed me then laid his cheek on my cheek.

"You wrong for that." I told him.

He chuckled, then kissed my neck.

His kisses turned into sucking and the next thing I know he was on top of me and inside me.

My arms gripped firmly around his neck as he moved in and out. The room echoing with the sounds of my bed and me moaning his name.

"Jazmine. Aw shit."

I screamed when I saw DJ at the damn door. He slammed it closed.

"He got a key to your house?" Aug looked at me upset.

"He left it here he must've made a duplicate."

Aug got off of me and laid with his head facing the ceiling.

"I'm sorry baby." I got up and put on a robe.

"I'll tell him to come back."

"Nah imma just go." Aug got up and put his clothes on.

"No baby please. I had no clue he was coming like I said he left his key here."

"Jazz." August sat on the bed. "You need to check DJ. I'm starting to think he doing this shit intentionally."

"Okay I will. Just please don't go."

"When you check him and let him know this shit ain't cool, then I'll be back." He leaned down and pecked my lips. Then left out.

I followed him to find DJ sitting on my couch. Aug gave him an evil look, then left.

I don't know how I was going to balance these two. Somebody had to go, 😫.
