☆C/F/N - Corrupt friends name ☆

I stared through the darkness, my eyes darting around. I tried to make sense of the shadows around me as my eyes adjusted to the dark, trying to find the source of the voice.

As everything slowly came into view, I saw them.

F/N...

Their form was covered in shadows, all colors from their body dulled.

"F-F/N?" I managed to whisper.

I heard them scoff, their form shifting in the chair they sat in, sitting more upright "It's C/F/N, actually." They spoke, their gritty voice echoing through the room. They stood up, walking over to me, "But I don't think you'd know that, Y/N."

I felt myself shake, fear welling up inside me as they approached. They towered over me, their hand rested on the side of my face, strangely comforting me like it did before.

A small smile formed on their face, "You know, your little boyfriend made a mistake letting me see him." They looked away, grinning a bit wider, "He led me right to you, Y/N."

I couldn't help but stare, their familiar face drawing me in. They changed so much from the last time I saw them, a scar now going across their black, malevolent eyes.

"I- W-What are you going to us?" I managed to say, fear in my voice.

They walked away slowly, the sounds of their laughter echoing through the little room. "Oh, Y/N, I'm just trying to help you." They spoke, their joyful words cutting through the air around us.

I stared, feeling sick.

I couldn't believe they thought this was helping.

"A-And Cubic? W-What are y-you going to do to him?" I stuttered, I didn't really want to know the answer.

They turned to face me again, their empty eyes shone in the dark. "Oh, him? We just need to fix him. Add him back to the link. It's all simple stuff really, Y/N."

I froze, a mix of fear and anger filling me "Fix? W-What do you mean by-"

They turned to me, cutting me off, a strangely amused look in their eyes, "Ah, I see you haven't changed much from how you were when we were kids." They chuckled.

I froze. When we were kids.

They had the nerve to bring it up like they knew me after they were corrupted.

"Y-You didn't even know what I was like!" I shouted, "I didn't even know this side of you, F- C/F/N!"

"Well, yes, we never met, but F/N's memories told me as much as I needed to know." They smiled.

I froze, so many emotions flowing through me at once. "Look if y-your angry about what I- What I did I'm sorry..." I felt tears pricking at the backs of my eyes, "I-I didn't mean to do it."

They froze, bending down to my level, looking me in the eyes, "You see, that's the problem. All that pain you're feeling is why I need to help you." Their smile felt oddly comforting, "Anyways, you should know I'm not upset about being corrupted. I want my friend back, Y/N. You're standing in the way of that." They grinned sadistically.

I froze, my heart dropped. I stared at them as they walked away, their form disappearing into the darkness. I didn't know what to feel, tears welled behind my eyes and yet I felt anger pound in my chest.

I looked up, "D-Dont hurt him, please." I said, fear in my voice.

I heard them turn around, their sparkling eyes glistening in the darkness. "You know, I can't wrap my head around why you fell in love with him." They began to chuckle, "You of all people? Falling in love with a corrupt? Sounds impossible to me." They turned to step closer to me again, "Don't worry, Y/N. When I bring C/Y/N back, you won't feel a thing. All of this pain will go away, just like that." They smiled.

I felt my stomach turn, anger filling me. I began to struggle, thrashing around in the binds. They were suffocatingly tight, almost painful. I tried to escape, I needed to stop them. I heard them begin to giggle as I tried my best to escape, their laughter growing the more I struggled to escape.

"D-Dont hurt him!" I shouted, trying to get them to stay here. "I-If you do, I'll-I-"

"You'll what?" They approached me, "You'll fight me?" They chuckled.

"What did we even do to you?" I yelled out, "We did nothing wrong!"

I heard them scoff before looking at me again. "I'm not saying you did. I'm just saying that you need this." They smiled, "think of it as being given a second chance, one without pain or suffering." They smiled.

A second chance?

I felt anger rise up in me. I gritted my teeth, my words feeling like venom resting on my tongue.

"You seriously think that-"

"Well," they cut me off, "I'm going to leave you alone for a moment, I have some other business to attend to, Y/N." They stepped out of the door, "I'm sure you'll be fine on your own for a while."

They shut the door behind themself.

I growled, anger fully filling me. I shouted, screaming out to them. I screamed out anything I could, pleads, threats.

I felt myself clench up, my blind rage dying down.

Then, came the tears.

I couldn't let this happen.

I couldn't.

I fell backwards, looking to the ceiling, my eyes gazed around. Above me, a large pink metal beam hung, stabbed through the ceiling. It creaked subtly as wind blew up against it. I sighed, staring at it. It looked like at any moment it would come crashing down onto me.

I couldn't help but wonder if C/F/N put it there on purpose just to taunt me, telling me I'd never leave, even if I tried.

I closed my eyes for a moment, darkness seeping in. Everything felt so grim, like everything was over. Everything I had been feeling all led to this.

It's the end. Isn't it?

I jolted up, a large crashing sound snapping me out of my thoughts. I felt fear coil around me tighter, permeating my soul. I looked around, trying to see what made the noise. One of the tables beside me laid on the floor, all of the small surgical tools laid out on the ground.

I froze, a loud scraping sound echoed above me.

I looked up quickly, the beam now a bit lower now, slightly closer to me. I jerked the bed slightly, watching the beam closely. As I moved the bed, the beam slid down more and more.

I froze, an idea popping up into my mind. I carefully laid back down, my hands slipping under my binds enough to fit my weapon under them.

I had to be quick about this...
