i sat in the cafe that i would be performing at for the next for hours, i had a list of songs i would be playing on the keyboard, most of the songs were Seventeen, but i was asked to choose all the songs, so it made sense to me. I was in one of the booth by myself with an iced coffee in front of me, i saw that the cafe was fairly crowded. I watched as a guy in all black including his mask and cap came in and sat near me. If anyone was to look at him they would think he was some sort of Kpop idol.
I got up and walked over with my iced coffee and phone and placed them on the floor as i sat on the stool infront of the keyboard. I watched as people began to become more quiet some people would occasionally whisper to each other. I saw the guy from other who was watching me, i looked away back towards my keyboard. I began to play the keyboard to the first song which was falling for you by seventeen, my mic was placed correctly in front of me.
I began to sing with my fingers pressing the keys i saw as people were smiling and swaying along to the song, some parts i focused more on the keyboard other times i focused on my singing. I finished the song and heard everyone clap including the workers here, i smiled and began to get the next song, "Excuse me, could i request a song." the guy who could be a kpop idol came up to me, "Sure, what would you like?" I asked, his voice sounded familiar but i shrugged it off, "Could you do the song, crazy in love by Seventeen?" He asked me.
"Of course but i'll have to do it without the keyboard though." I said to him, "That's okay." I saw that he could be smiling, due to his eyes almost having smiles. i grabbed the mic out of the mic stand and stood up, "The next song is a request which i will have to do without the keyboard but i still hope its okay." I said, i pressed play on the song after finding the right song that was needed.
I finished my 3 hour performance and grababed my things and went to the counter, "Hey Y/N can't thank you enough for today, for covering for 3 people." Miyeon who was one of the waitresses, "Its alright i quite enjoyed it." I said to her, "Well here is your free coffee and money people wanted to give to you." She said handing over my coffee and the money, "Thank you, if you need me to come in again another day i'm happy to do it." i said to her, "Of course, i will let you know if you are needed, but i best get going got customers." She said smiling, "Of course." I said smiling taking the coffee into my hand but placed the money in my bag.
I walked out the cafe and saw the same guy leaning up against the wall, my first instinct was to go up to him, but ignored it and walked away. "Hey, wait up." I heard some guy yelled who sounded similar but i couldn't quite put my finger on it, i turned to see the guy jog to me, "Can i help?" I asked him, "Actually i thought i could help you out, if you want to audition join pledis." He said passing me a business card, "How can i be sure to trust you." I said being cautious, i watched him pull down his mask.
"Dokyeom?" I said shocked, he nodded and put his mask back up, "You want me to audition for Pledis?" I asked him with confusion written all over my face, "Yes, Pledis wants a soloist and i think you would be perfect." He said making your stomach do back flips, "The Seventeen vocalist wants me to become a soloist." I said making sure i heard right. "Yeah, from what i heard in the cafe, you would do well." He said, i smiled and was about to thank him, but his phone went off.
"I best be off, but go to Pledis tomorrow at 11am for your audition, and i'll tell them to keep an eye on you." He said smiling, "Okay, i'll be there." I said, "Oh what's your name by the way?" Dokyeom asked, "Y/N. Y/N Y/L/N." I said smiling, "Well good luck for tomorrow Y/N i hope to see you there." He said walking off and waving to me. I stood there in shock at that fact that Dokyeom from seventeen wanted me to be a soloist for seventeen. I placed the card in my pocket and began to walk home with my coffee in my hand.
I woke up at 8:30am to make sure i had plenty of time to get ready and to get to Pledis's auditions. i got out of bed and walked into the kitchen and grabbed my protein shake with an apple, i went back to my room and began to do makeup which was only going to be light as i was going to be performing one of Taeyeon's songs, since i heard that performing one of the company songs wouldn't allow you to pass.
I began to walk to to the pledis building in a black dress with spaghetti straps and a long white shirt underneath with my black boots. i had the song i was planning to sing and dance to in my ear as i walked to the building, the song was going to be spark by Taeyeon. I walked into the building to where i saw other girls wanting to become a pledis soloist, i stood next to someone awkwardly as some man was passing out lanyards.
"Do you know what time your audition is." He asked me, "Yeah, 11am." i said to him smiling, "Right here you go, good luck." He said nodding at me and walking to the girl next to me. I waited for a few more minutes and heard my number being called out. I walked over to the door as i saw a girl walking out crying. I smilied softly at her, as she tried to smile back. I knocked on the door and heard a come in.
"Hi, whats your name?" One of the men asked who was sat next to a woman another man and a spare seat at the end. "Y/N YL/N." I said smiling, giving the right impression, "What song are you going to perform." The woman asked, "I'm going to perform spark by Taeyeon." I said smiling, they nodded and wrote something down. "I'm sorry, i'm late." I heard someone say, i turned to see Dokyeom walk in the door, "Ah, perfect timing Dokyeom, Y/N is about to perform." One of the men said as Dokyeom sat at the spare seat. Is this why he wanted me at 11am?
I waited to hear the song start and began to both sing and dance to the song, i saw Dokyeom smiling and the people running the audition nodding and writing. I made sure i smiled while singing since i wanted them to see the charisma when i danced. The song stopped and i stood back to where i was before the song, "I think that you have potential, if you leave your contact details at the reception then we should call you back Y/N." The lady said while smiling, "Thank you." I said smiling and bowing.
I walked out towards the reception pass girls who gave me a smile and some girls who didn't look too pleased, "Hi i need to leave my contact details." I said to the lady, "Yes, let me grab you a paper quickly." I heard the door open from where i just came out of, "Sadly, there will not be anymore auditions today, the audtitions are now closed, but Miss Y/L/N may you come back in." A man said, the girls all looked upset but walked away, I walked back towards the door and heard people whispering about me.
"When you came in, we saw you were positive which we liked, your voice was both impressive and unique same with your dance style. We decided we want to skip the call in stage, and ask you to become a trainee straight away." The man said walking back to his chair and sitting down next to Dokyeom. "Really?" I said in shock, not expecting this, "Yes, we have full hope in you." The woman said, "Well thank you." I said bowing, "Now, the next stage would for you to move to our other building, with your things and then from there we can sort out things like your dance and singing training sessions, and then your things for your debut." The other man on the end said, "Of course, i will get home and start packing straight away." I said smiling.
"Okay, just make sure you get there for 1pm tomorrow and everything will go on from there." The woman said, "Of course, thank you." I said smiling. I walked out after saying bye to them, i walked to my bag that was hanged up and got my phone out, i was out to walk out, "Hey Y/N can i speak to you." I turned to see Dokyeom coming out the door, "Yeah, of course." I said, "Want to go to a coffee shop tho first." He asked, and i of course nodded.
"I just want to say thank you for even getting me an audition." I said to him as we walked down the street with him in his mask and hat. "It was my pleasure, i had hope you would be there and get to the call in, but looks like they want you without it." He said opening the door, "Well, if it wasn't for you, i'm sure i would be waiting for a call to perform at the cafe again so thank you." I said to him with a genuine smile. "I'm just glad that you could do something that you love." He said sitting down opposite me, "I do love singing and dnacing, but being an idol i never really thought about it, i just thought about performing infront of small crowds nothing else, but i have been jealous of some people up on stage, i will admit." I said to him.
"Well the fans are amazing and so is the feeling of getting things like first award, first tour, first world tour, first album, first song to surpass a certain number, trust me it all is worth it." He said to me, "I remember when you guys got your first award, i was so happy that day i can't lie." I said to him, "Well that should be you soon." He said writing down what he wanted and handed me the paper to write my order. "Well all i got to say is thank you, for giving me this chance, i will do everything you just said." I said to him smiling as now, i will be carrying on as a trainee soon to become an idol, like the man infront of me.
I hope you liked this, i think i could have changed it but my brain wasn't really in a writing mood but i did my best, but i hope you did enjoy it. Also happy late S.Coups day, >.<
