Everyone quieted from the converts that was very close to becoming a screaming match real quick as I calmly looked at Mr. Forkle. His face twisted into hurt for a split second before it was gone.
"Miss Foster—"
"I said, what's the saddest thing about being betrayed?"
He sighed. "I never betrayed you Miss Foster I just had to—"
"What? Protect me? What about my sister? She didn't need protecting too?"
Gasps rang around the room, but Keefe just intertwined my hand into his.
"She was a loose cannon who would've destroyed the world!"
My voice cracked a little. "To keep me safe!"
He sighed again. "I'm sorry Miss Foster. I have no answer to your question."
I leaned against Keefe. "The saddest thing about being betrayed is not how you've get betrayed, but by who betrayed you."
We all sat in silence for a long time.
"We need a plan to light these villians up once and for all."
