"There" Mattheo said, awkwardly pointing to at the strand of hair framing Iris' face. She run her hand through her brunette locks. "No." He said and he awkwardly shuffled in his seat before he reached to her hair and pulled out a singular sprinkle that she must have missed this morning. She smiled softly at him and turned away but Amy didn't miss her blushing.

"Cant believe I'm going to have to say goodbye to all these girls after today." Blaise sighed

"I'm sure they are really going to miss you." Amy said sarcastically.

They were sitting in the Great Hall just minutes before they are meant to go down to the pitch to watch the final task.

"I need to say goodbye to Fleur." Blaise said dreamily as he ignored Amy's comment.

"Seen Cedric yet?" Enzo asked Iris as he just left Blaise to daydream about the Beauxbaton champion. She nodded with a small smile on her face. "I reckon he could win this you know." He added. "Do you know what he will spend the money on if he does win?" Blaise suddenly piped up. "No, he doesn't really care much about money." She said.

"It's gonna be an expensive first date." Amy said smiling at her friend. Iris looked to her and Amy could tell she was holding back a lot of excitement. "Can we just go down there now?" Mattheo asked sounding incredibly bored. Amy looked around to see how most people were leaving the Hall and were making their way over.

"Absolutely." Blaise said as he was the first one up. We all followed closely behind him down to the grounds.

They walked onto the Quidditch pitch, which was now completely unrecognisable. A twenty-foot-high hedge ran all the way around the edge of it. There was a gap right in front of them; the entrance to the vast maze. The passage beyond it looked dark and creepy. Blaise put his hand on Iris' shoulder, "maybe you should say your goodbyes to Diggory." She just pushed his hand off of her and rolled her eyes.

They seated themselves down in the stand right in the middle. The air was full of excited voices and the rumbling of hundreds of feet of students filing into their seats. The sky was a deep, clear blue now, and the first stars were starting to appear.

Suddenly the four champions walked out and stood at a different passage each. Bagman now pointed his wand at this throat, muttered "sornorus" and his magically magnified voice echoed into the stands. "Ladies and gentlemen, the third and final task is about to begin! Let me remind you how the points currently stand! Tied in first place, on eighty-five points each - Mr Cedric Diggory and My Harry Potter, both of Hogwarts school!" The cheers and applause sent birds from the Forbidden Forest fluttering into the darkening sky. Amy saw how Cedric looked over and made eye contact with Iris. They both discreetly waved to each other and Iris showed off the 'CD' painted on her palm which earned a smile from the boy. "In second place, on eighty points - Mr Viktor Krum, of Durmstrang Institute!" More applause. "And in third place - Miss Fleur Delacour, of Beauxbatons Academy!" All of the girls wearing their blue silk robes stood up and clapped for Fleur. "So....on my whistle, Harry and Cedric!" Said Bagman. "Three - two - one -"
He gave a short blast on his whistle and Harry and Cedric hurried forward into the maze.

"And Mr Krum!" He yelled as he blew the whistle once more and Krum disappeared into the maze. "And of course Miss Delacour!." He blew the whistle for the last time as Fleur nervously made her way into the labyrinth.

Everybody in the stands sat back down as the champions were no longer in sight. Hushed conversations took place of peoples predictions. "And now we wait..." Iris said nervously. "Now we wait..." Amy repeated just above a whisper.

About 20 minutes passed when red sparks were fired into the air coming from inside the maze. Everybody silenced immediately and wondered who it could have been. Iris was bouncing her leg nervously as she was hoping it wasn't Cedric. Suddenly Fleur was pulled out of the maze and she did not look good. Her hair, which was in a perfect slick-back ponytail before, was now falling out everywhere and had leaves in it and her usual clear skin was covered in dirt.
