CHAPTER 31

When I woke up a few hours later I found Aaron right next to me, playing with my hair. "Hey, did you rest well?" he asked when he noticed I was up. "Yes, what time is it?" I asked worried that I won't have enough time to get ready.

"It's 6, I was going to wake you up soon but you just looked so cute" he said and I could see a faint blush on his cheeks. "Oh ok, I still have an hour, that should be enough, how was playing with Sophia?" I laughed remembering he went off with her when I went to sleep.

"she is adorable, you should be careful, she might take me away from you" he said laughing, "for some reason I don't believe you'd leave me for her that easily" I said laughing too as we came closer to one another. "I guess you're right" he said and kissed me.

"I need to get ready" I said as I parted from him and walked towards my closet where I put the new dress. "Did you decide what you're going to sing?" I asked while heading to the door to go and change in the bathroom. "Yes, it takes 2 from hairspray, I thought it would really fit. Do you know how to play it?" he asked as he went to get his clothes from his suitcase.

"Of course! I had my hairspray phase" I said laughing. It used to be my favorite musical for almost 2 years and it still has a special spot in my heart. "Great, you think your sister will like it?" he asked while heading to the door with his clothes "I think she would love it!" I said happily

"You can change here, I'll go" he said and left. I put on my dress and shoes and just as I opened my door Aaron came out wearing a button down blue shirt the same color as my dress. "Please tell me we are not the type of couple who match their clothes" I said as I saw him.

"Sorry, but we are" he said grinning at me. I shook my head trying not to laugh. "You look beautiful" he said as he came into the room. "Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself" I laughed. I went to my desk and started putting on makeup, nothing too fancy, just the basic eyeliner and some eye shadow. I noticed through the mirror that Aaron was looking at me the whole time and couldn't help but blush.

When I finished my makeup I put my hair up in a hairdo that I know looked good on me, nothing to fancy but not to simple either. "You ready?" Aaron asked as I looked through my jewelry box. I was about to put on my favorite necklace when I remembered it was a gift from Chris. I put it back in the box and closed it after taking a pair of earrings.

"Yes, I'm ready" I turned around smiling pushing the thought about Chris to the back of my head. We went down and saw Sophia playing with John and Adam who looked so happy together, I guess all the crying last night was long forgotten. A few minutes later family members and neighbors and friends started coming.

Everyone was surprised when I introduced them to Aaron but we didn't care, we knew it was right even though it was fast. About an hour later Chris and Stella came and I was feeling a weird feeling. I wasn't jealous since I was happy with Aaron, but it was weird seeing him with someone else. When Chris noticed Aaron with me he looked surprised and came to say hi.

"I told you the 2 of you would get together" he laughed as he pointed at our intertwined hands. "I guess you were right" I said blushing. "Take care of her, don't do the same mistake I did" he told Aaron in a serious tone. "I will" Aaron said and squeezed my hand.

Chris went to talk to other people while Aaron and I sat down in a corner hoping for some quiet, being interrupted every once in a while by someone who came to say hello. At around 9 Kate and Justin decided to make a speech, telling everyone how happy they were to share this moment with them and thanking everyone for coming, honestly, I wasn't really listening.

But then she called for Aaron and I to come and perform the song and al of a sudden everyone's attention was on me. I was so glad Aaron was the one singing and I could just be with my back to everyone while playing the piano. I went to the piano and Aaron stood beside me like he did before.

I started playing losing myself to Aaron's voice like I did before. Through the corner of my eye I could see Kate and Justin dancing and slowly more couples joined them. When Aaron didn't need to look at everyone anymore since they weren't looking at him, I could feel him look at me.

I felt him looking at me and couldn't help but blush. I knew he wasn't talking about the marriage part, but I still felt as if he chose this song for us and not for Kate and Justin. When I finished I got up and turned around just to see everyone looking at us with big smiles and loud clapping, which just made me blush even more.

Once again Kate rushed to us hugging us and thanking us. After everyone came to tell us how amazing it was we went back to our quiet corner, just sitting there talking about nothing and everything and enjoying each other's company until everyone left and we helped clean up.
