Do I really deserve this?

It is my nth time asking the crescent moon gleaming beyond the clouds. Until now, I am overwhelmed of everything happened to me after the night I discovered who truly am.

Everyone called it, The Alpha's Lair. In short, ang peg niya ay parang palasyo. A nonchalant smile impetuously plastered upon my lips when I heard everyone's laughter. I give myself time to stay away from a crowd for a moment.

A soft breeze brushed against my skin. The moment the wind passed by, the branches of trees are creaking. It was followed by a leaves rustle. Few meters away from me, I could hear the sound of water stream.

Nature is indeed beautiful. The moon still gleaming. Stars are stupendously scattered in the sky. Few of them are flickering blissfully.

"How long are you gonna stare the night sky?"

His disheveled stormy hair greeted my eyes.

"It's sinfully beautiful, isn't it?" Instead of responding him with words, I only nodded. "What's in your mind, Kai?" My eyes fell directly upon the ground.

A heavy sigh escaped from my lips. "I am overwhelmed, Lupus," I sparingly answered. His forehead furrowed. And his eyes asked me to elaborate. Ever since I found out I am a hybrid, I felt like I am nobody even to myself. It felt like my normal life turned upside down," I added.

"The witches even considered me the abomination of nature. A creature who had the ability to tear the world apart. I was told my sacrifice worth more than my life." Nagpakawala muli ako ng malalim na buntonghininga. "It made me think that they were right.

I am happy to finally be with my family. My pack. To finally know who I am. But after what I did to Ry the other day when I lost control of myself, tila ba'y naniwala na ako sa mga sinabi ng mga witches. It feels like my existence is to wreak havoc. To destroy everything.

Or worse, to hurt the people I love.

"And now, sabay-sabay pang nagsibagsakan ang mga responsibilidad sa mga balikat ko. I don't know if I deserved it.

He then stare straight to my eyes.

"First of all, huwag mong pakinggan ang mga witches. If things go wrong, the Crescents will be here to protect you. You deserved it, Kai. And it's not even questionable," puno ng kasiguraduhang saad niya. "There's always a loophole in everything that witches believed, Kai. Some of them have been known to work against the Balance of Nature. And use their power for their personal gain," he added.
