Jimmy's ears twitched at the sound of a groan,huffing quietly himself as the shorter rat slumped in the corner of the cage

The two had been caught by the son again neither had opened the door and couldn't make it too a hiding spot in time even if Jimmy checked it was clear

Krow was simply hugging their knees,the multicoloured hair hiding their entire face as it tried too stop itself from sobbing it's eyes out completely

All they could hear were each other breathing heavily and occasionally the humans talking amongst themselves,probably about the rat problem in the house

The tanned rat glared intensely at the metal bars,the couldn't get out here themselves and god knows where the others were or how they would find them,safely or not

Crying immediately snapped him out of his thoughts and as he turned around,the blonde stood shocked as all he could see was Krow having,from what he had heard,either an anxiety attack

The grayish rat was hyperventilation and sweating which didn't help with the all black clothing and rhe heat in the cage

"Woah,woah-! Krow,its okay" he was about to reach out but stopped,waiting for a few seconds as IT slowly raised its head "Can I hug you?" He asked with a small,soft smile on his face

Suddenly he was tackled in a hug,the red and black haired rat sitting on his lap while crying into his shoulder,soaking both the blue sleeves and bright high vis jacket but that didn't matter in this moment

So they sat,the shorter slowly falling asleep from exhaustion while the taller sat there,holding the other close as if they would disappear

It took another minute or two before the noises of the others could be heard,causing his bigs ears to twitch once again,a grin appearing on his face as he saw the others

The door was quickly opened and there stood Will,Owen and Scott who all immediately helped them out as the stealthy rat took the thief "What happened here?"

"Got caught" he said,his tail flicking while the farmer checked for injuries "While in the cage,it seemed like it was having either and anxiety or panic attack but I'm not sure" the safety rat rubbed his neck nervously

The other three looked at each other before nodding,all of them jumping off the cage with the other slowly climbed down before going in front of them all,navigating them the definitely safe way back to the attic

They wouldn't mention this to anyone else unless Krow said it was okay as they didn't want them to feel uncomfortable or unsafe considering they all lived together
