(Y/n's pov) There are three things I enjoyed the most while at auradon prep, swimming, books and spending time with my boyfriend Ben. People often asled if i was the daughter of the little mermaid. My mother was adventures, collected weird items and loved traveling with my dad when she had the time. My father loved to sail the sea's, when i was little with my big sister watching my every step like a hawk i would often visit dad in his office as he looked at maps. I learned to read them better than books at first. Mom thought it was cute that i toke up the study of maps. Shocked her when i said the latitude and longitude of the sea trips dad was planing. He was not surprised. He figerned it was a gift that i could see the location like a compass.
Infact my love for studying maps lead me to adventure books. Treasure Island became my favorite bedtime story. Infact the library was where ben and I first met when we were kids. My family and i came to auradon for business, since melody was the oldest she was the next in line to take the throne of land atlantica. King beast and queen belle thought I was a curious child and talented when i went over to a rose bush that seemed wilted. That's when my parents and grandpa who wanted to spend time with me learned i could manipulate the water without the trident.

I was walked toward the blue roses and said getting on my tiny neeks and picked up the water jug. "You must be thristy". The thing was to heavey and i huffed. I lifted my hands and mom called for me as everyone seemed to gather where i was. "Y/n honey where did-". She stopped as i moved the water to go at the roots of the roses and they seemed to perk up slowly. Grandpa came over and asked. "Y/n sweety did you know you can do that"? I was confused and said. "Move the water, can't mom or melody do it"? Mom then said mentioning me over. "Honey i can't do it without the trident, neither can your sister". Grandpa then said as i looked at the big fork, thats what i called it when i was 6. "But your grandma could. (He carefully shrunk it and said holding it out to me.) One day y/n youll rule the sea. This will help control your gifts, but also help you discover more about yourself. But something tells me you have it in hand". Belle then said seeing her roses back to life. "Beast look the Benjamin's are back". Ben thought his mom called for him and said coming from the library. "You called mom"? He was holding the book of the little mermaid. I was staring and he seemed to blush when he noticed. Queen belle then said. "No honey, the flowers that were named after you were saved. (He seemed happy and she said.) All thanks to y/n". Ben seemed to blush and talked to his mother in a quiet whisper. He turned around and said holding his hand out. "Its nice to meet you princess y/n. Im prince Benjamin, but you can call me Ben". I then said trying to say Benjamin. "Nice to meet you to Benj-. (I paused and tried to finished.) Benj-". Ben smiled and said. "Its okay you can call me Benj". Dad said to the beast in a whisper when he noticed his eye brow was cracked in confusion when I couldn't say Benjamin. "Sometimes her liss comes through. She heared the name Benj in a dog movie and thought it was sort of short for something". Beast then said smiling. "Its okay, he's used to sometimes being called Benj".
Ben then asked seeing as our parents talked. "If you want we can wait for them in the library, clocksworth left some lemonade". I nodded happily and we went to the library.

And since then we were thick as thieves. We toke every opportunity to visit one another. I would swim all the way to auradon if i wanted to. Whoch gave my father and mother a couple of heart attacks. Strangly i was the only half mermaid in the family that can pop out a tail when I want it. My tail was white, that reflected the rainbow in the water.

I was in the pool right now and i was relaxing. Life here in auradon was amazong. When the doors opened i looked to see Ben, who finaly toke the day off. He then said smiling. "Room for one more"? I then said coming over. "How was your day"? He wrapped his arms around my waist when he got in the water and said pecking my lips. "Missed you, you handle these duties better than i". I then said. "I learned from watching the ineractions between mom and dad when people come in. (I packed his lips and said.) Im glade you toke the day off, (I hugged him and said.) I missed you". He then said as he noticed the engagement ring was on a simple chain. "Didn't want to lose it I see". I then said. "I now jewerly is not allowed in the pool, but i cant help it, having it off is odd". Ben then said kissing my hands. "I know, you sure i didn't need to ask your dad for your hand"? I then said. "Believe me, my parents knew the moment we were kids. They'll just be a tiny bit miffed that they weren't told first. Luckily my aunt's are the proctecive and understand kind. Theyll stand between my grandfather and parents if they think things will go south". Ben pecked my lips and said smiling. "Just nerves about telling them when they arrive". I then said. "Trust me ill protect you". He smiled and I was content in stayinglile this until my big sister said. "But you hurt my baby sister beast I'm coming after you". Ben then said looking in my eyes lovingly, it was almost like it was just us. "I wouldn't even dream of it".
