"Happy 1st anniversary, Mahal!" Masayang bati ko kay Axel nang makarating na siya.
Actually, last week pa anniversary namin pero dahil sobrang busy naming dalawa sa studies and my schedule as a part-time model ay hindi na namin na celebrate.
Minsan na nga lang tumatanggap ng promotions sobrang dami pang pinapagawa, minsan na dedelay pa.
Nasa isang restaurant kami at naka reserve ako ng table malapit sa balcony nito para maganda ang view.
Simple lang naman dahil di nga kami masyadong nakapaghanda. Babawi nalang ako soon.
"Happy anniversary," she greeted back.
She seated in front of me tsaka may tinago pang parang paper bag sa baba. Sinubukan ko iyong tignan pero sinuway niya ako.
"Ano yan?" Curious na turo ko sa bag.
"Basta mamaya," she said.
Nag order na din ako earlier dahil malalate din naman daw siya ng dating. Kumain lang kami ng payapa sa gilid habang tinatanaw ang view doon. Mabuti at sumang ayon ang panahon ngayon.
I looked at Axel who was busy eating her carbonara. I held her hand and squeezed it softly.
She looked at me and raised both of her brows, confused why am I looking at her like that.
"Bakit?" May problema ba?" Tanong niya.
Umiling ako. "Wala naman. I'm just happy that you stayed," seryosong pagkakasabi ko sakanya.
I'm so grateful that Axel didn't give up on me. She stayed for me even though I wasn't enough for her.
I'm so thankful that I met her. I'm so thankful for her for making me happy everyday. She's my inspiration to continue everyday.
"I couldn't see myself with someone else except you," dagdag ko pa.
She held my hand back tightly. "I stayed because I love you," she smiled genuinely.
