"Amy, do you have any idea where Richard has gone?"

"He mentioned he was off to deal with a nuisance," Amy replied.

"...I hope he doesn't mean that literally."

"Could you teach me how to bake cookies?" Amy asked timidly. "I want to surprise Richard."

"You're just the sweetest! Of course, I'll help you," Mrs. Rumble smiled brightly.

After a series of mishaps, including Amy confusing salt for sugar and burning several batches, she finally managed to get it right.

'This one looks more appetizing than the rest,' she thought as she ate it. "It's amazing!"

"I'm back! Amy, I need some energy!" Richard complained as he walked in.

"In the kitchen!" Amy shouted in response.

Richard stepped into the kitchen to find a flour covered Amy surrounded by a plate of tempting cookies.

"Try this!" she exclaimed, holding one out for him to taste. He obliged and licked his lips, "Mmm, this is good! Did you make it?"

"I did!" she replied with pride. Richard took in her appearance: flour dusted on her cheeks, some in her hair, and the floor littered with batter and eggshells. Knowing her, she likely only asked his mother for the recipe, not for any real guidance on how to bake properly.

He devoured the entire cookie and then placed his hands gently on her shoulders. "You should go take a shower while I tidy up. Once you're done, we can enjoy a movie and savor those delicious treats you made. Sound good?"

"Sounds great!" she exclaimed, dashing upstairs to shower. Richard rolled up his sleeves, ready to tackle the mess.

"Hey Richard?" Amy called out after her shower.

"Yes?" he replied.

"Who did you meet today?" she asked, snuggling next to him on the bed.

"A wild kid," he said casually, reaching for another cookie.

"Oh really?"

"Forget about that. How about we go out tomorrow?"

Amy's eyes widened, and she felt his forehead. "Are you feeling okay? Should I get a doctor or something?"

"Why would you do that?" he asked, holding her hands.

"You never let me go out," she said with a little pout.

"I know, but I think I can make an exception this time."

"Where are we going then?"

"What do you think about the library? It's nice and peaceful there," he suggested, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"The library? The place filled with books?"

"Exactly!"

"Let’s go!" she cheered.

"Alright then!"
