Amy

"This is for your own good," the Rumbles whispered to me as Richard's aunt arrived.

"This is where we leave you dear," Mrs. Rumble gently kissed my forehead.

"You'll be with Angelina from now on," he gestured for her to step forward.

"B-But Richard will be furious," I stammered, trembling at the thought of what awaited me and them.

"Don't worry. He won't find you," Mr. Rumble held me tightly.

Then, Mrs. Rumble's phone buzzed, and she glanced at it, choosing to ignore it. Mr. Rumble's phone rang next, and he too dismissed it, their expressions filled with dread.

"You need to go now. Get in the car. We'll see each other again soon, my dear."

Mrs Rumble

When Amy climbed into my sister's car, my husband wrapped his arms around me, reassuringly saying, "She'll be fine. She's young and has so much ahead of her. We can't let our son ruin the life of our late friend's daughter."

"I understand, but she felt like a daughter to us," I whispered through my tears.

"I'll look after her. I promise nothing will happen to her, Sis," Angelina said, pulling me into a comforting embrace before she got into the car and drove away with Amy.

The moment they drove off, our phones started buzzing.

Richard reached out to us with frantic messages.

Richard

Do you have Amy?

Where is she?

I’m the only one who can take her!

Where on earth is she?

Her clothes are missing!

Where are you?!

"I'm terrified, my love," I confessed to my husband.

"He is our son. We did our best to guide him, but he chose a different way. We must go back."

We drove back to confront our terrifying son.
