I can hardly contain my excitement about finally visiting a library! Richard usually keeps me indoors, so I often hear about all these amazing places from him or his parents.

After trying on several outfits because Richard thought they were too 'revealing,' he finally agreed to let me wear the one I chose.

"Let’s go, let’s go!" I exclaimed joyfully as he playfully ruffled my hair. "Yes, we’re off, little one. Now sit still while I tie your shoelaces."

The library was surprisingly close by, just a short walk around a few corners.

As soon as we stepped inside, it felt like entering a grand castle. Books were everywhere, the place was spotless and gleaming, and it was so spacious!

Richard had to gently remind me to close my mouth since people were looking at me.

Not being familiar with the library, I clung to him, and he didn’t mind at all.

"Here we are," he said, pointing to the section filled with children's books. "Choose any book you like, and I’ll be right here waiting for you, okay?"

I nodded and made my way slowly toward the books, feeling a thrill of anticipation.

Richard

She’s just the sweetest little thing!

Look at that sparkle in her eyes! She’s so busy exploring that she hasn’t even thought about picking a book yet. I wouldn’t be shocked if she wanted to take every single one home with her!

“Hi there! Do you need help finding a book?” one of the friendly helpers asked.

“No, But could you help her?” I said, pointing to my little Amy. “It’s her first time here”

“Of course”

The assistant walked over to Amy, and as always, her shyness kicked in. But when she caught my eye and I gave her a little nod, she transformed back into her bubbly self and started asking the assistant all sorts of questions.

While my darling was busy, I thought it might be a good idea to grab a book for myself. Amy has her little nap times, and when she does, I get bored,a book would be the perfect way to keep me entertained.

After picking out a book, my little whirlwind came dashing back, “Richard, Richard!” she whispered excitedly, “Can I take these three?” She held up three colorful books: one about the three little bears, another about a boy dreaming of being a pirate king, and the last one about a brave princess.

“They’re all wonderful choices! Yes, you can take them,” I said, giving her a gentle pat on the head.

“Yay!” she squealed softly, her joy lighting up the room.

“Let’s go check out!”
