Hours that could have been a millennium for how long it's been since I've seen her. The manor was quiet, everyone having long ago gone to sleep. The moon rose to its brightest peak upon the thousands of glittering souls in the galaxy. The time stretched on as the night faded away and the sun broke free of the relentless fog, casting bands of golden light through the surrounding trees.
As quietly as I could, I slipped from the room and walked down the opposite hall where my puppy was currently sleeping.
It was still early and I knew with all of the excitement the last few days, she's be conked out for at least a few more hours.
