Back in the glass cell, the air was thick with tension, all I could do was curl myself in a ball on the bed, waiting for my punishment for what I had done. The others didn't understand me, no, they didn't just understand me, they despised me, for what I had done. I knew this was coming, but it hurts, this morning I was eating breakfast and now I'm sitting in my old cell.

When Barton came through that door, I knew it was over. I stood up, preparing myself for what's to come. A burning pain came as he strikes me across the face. James then entered the cell, his knife at the ready, he trades places for Barton, now standing in front of me.

"I bet you'll accept my apology now," he signed.

I winced, afraid, but knowing my wrong. His knife cuts my face re-tracing where my scare is. Blood rushed down my face, putting my hands up where the cut is, I tried to slow the bleeding. My legs gave out as I fell to the floor on my knees. Out of the corner of my eyes I saw Loki.

'Is this fun?' I thought, snarling, his eyes softened, turning to sympathy.

'Wake up,' his voice rung clearly throughout my head, blocking all thoughts I had. I tilted my head, confused.

I woke up gasping for air, noticing my body covered with sweat, tears falling that I didn't even notice before. My heart pounds out of my chest. Loki reached a hand out for me to grab, which I hesitantly grabbed onto. He pulled me into an embrace. I struggled at first, but he never let go. He let me sob on his shirt, not moving his arms from around me.

After what felt like hours, my sobs slowed to a stop.

"I'm sorry," I signed quickly, once he let me go. I shouldn't have done said what I said before, I shouldn't have done the things I had done to him, yet he was still trying to show compassion. He looked at me confuse, for a moment before his face lit up with realization of what I was trying to say.

'Nothing to apologize for, Lady Pheonix,' he replied in thought.

'I'm gonna go have a shower,' I said, already heading towards the bathroom.

Halfway through the day, the Avengers came back from whatever mission they had. Barton was the first one to walk through the door. Some of my dream appeared in my head making me move away from him, sitting on the farther end of the couch. Barton gave Loki a certain look. I began biting my nails, nervous as they started talking to each other.

Barton looks to me. "You're having nightmares again?" he asked me, his hand movements showing his sternness, I nodded sheepishly.

"Wanna talk about it?" I shook my head, he nodded.

I thought I could go back to my room, but I guess I was wrong as I was stopped by Stark. He hands me a box that has a phone on the box, with a not reading, 'I figure you need one of these,' I nodded as a 'thanks' and proceeded to my room.

I closed my door behind me, opening the box to show the phone. At least I have something to focus on. I worked on setting the phone up, but when I lifted the phone up it revealed a paper with all their phone numbers, so I could add them. Of course, that would be another part I would have to figure out.

After some fiddling with the piece of technology, I finally got it to the point where I could set up my contacts. Turned out I could just make something called a 'group chat.' I did add them separately just in case, the one thing that confused me was that there were tiny faces on the small keyboard. Why would people use faces in messaging?

After hours past Stark came by, with a note asking if I needed help, which I nodded to. He helped me with the Deaf settings, he was patient with me writing down things I may need to know for the future. He got some teaching when it came to learning sign too.

When we were done with the settings, he showed me how to change the names in my phone, and then proceeded to text (which I learned that's what the messages were called) to the group chat with that my phone was set. Which then lead to an overwhelming number of messages from the others.

Stark taught me other things with the phone, but when he had to go do something that didn't include me, he left me to fidget with the piece of technology.
