The next morning Jiang Cheng woke up and found himself in the same room where he was currently staying, so he haven't returned yet? The chapter didn't end? Well better to start his day early. Despite missing the soft cushion of his bed, his sleep was rather long and relaxing, it's been a while since he had such a deep sleep he wasn't sure if it was because of the weather or the tea that Lan Xichen prepared for him. Either way he slowly sat up and stretched his tired limbs before he prepared for the day, he badly wanted to take a bath but the water isn't enough for it so he decided to wash his face and make sure to change into a clean robes. Once he was presentable he left the room and started walking around the hallways towards Lan Xichen's room but it seems he didn't have to walk that further because Lan Xichen is already walking towards his direction.

"Jiang Cheng.." his voice had a hint of relieved sigh as his pace quicken to meet him "I'm glad you are still here.. Did you sleep well?"

"I did yeah, the pillow was hard but uh.. I actually did sleep well"

"That's good to hear, come join me for breakfast" The taller male smiled at him and led him towards the dining hall, he was still seated beside Lan Xichen and he was still getting some odd glances from the people in the and he could feel daggers at the sides of his head from where Lan Wangji and Meng Yao sat. Well fucking assholes just have to bear with him because he aint going anywhere, they can eat their food in disdain and Jiang Cheng will have his breakfast.

Fucks given?

 Zero.

After the breakfast Lan Xichen led him back to the Hanshi, they spoke and had a few good discussions, after a while he would train with Lan Xichen. He was getting a hang of the whole spiritual energy stuff it was hard but he decided to learn. After a few more lessons about his qi Lan Xichen would excuse himself to start his Sect duties which led Jiang Cheng to be under Lan Jingyi's supervision and they spared, and the brat was smug enough to make side comments about him, although Jiang Cheng can't defeat the young disicple with his sword he could definitely be toe in toe when it comes to fighting with fist! Thank you very much.

This cycle continued within the next following two days and Jiang Cheng wondered why he wasn't sent back to his world yet though he did enjoyed his stay here he is also trying to make sense of what rules does his existence apply in here. And the time he spent together with Lan Xichen had been great he was starting to catch up with the basic moves, sparing with Jingyi had been fun the kid was also amusing Jiang Cheng found himself liking the young man. Then there was Lan XiChen is a very patient man, he would give Jiang Cheng praises once he saw his improvements and guiding him further to the next lessons.. And this is where Jiang Cheng noticed a slight shift between them.

Look, Jiang Cheng's love life may be non-existent but he is not too stupid or dense to spot the subtle difference in the way Lan Xichen acted. When his hand would brush against his own constantly, or how he held hid hand guiding him to execute the correct form that lingers for quite some time before he pulls away. Sometimes he leans so close that Jiang Cheng couldn't help but get a little embarrassed.

Though If he had to be honest he isn't complaining one bit, after all Lan Xichen in a very handsome man and he doesn't really make Jiang Cheng uncomfortable. Base on his observations the man is very social and also quite touchy so.. Perhaps he is reading too much into it? He didn't want to assume after all. The man might be just too kind and who is Jiang Cheng even kidding, Lan Xichen is in love with Meng Yao he read the book.

Shaking his head he tossed around the bed, He just woke up and when he realized that he was still in this place he couldn't help but to ponder about all these observations for the past few days that was on his mind and that's when he heard a knock from the door.
