CHAPTER FIVE:
ZED FOR PREZ

THE THOUGHT OF BUCKY BEING the President of the school made an uneasy feeling enter Wren's stomach. She seemed to be the only one against the idea as she stood in the crowd of students who let out cheers and whistles. She had her arms crossed over her chest, Addison standing right there beside of her. She had a look of annoyance on her face. She was ready for this stupid assembly to be over with, she couldn't take it. The sound of Ms. Lee's voice made the girl turn her attention towards the podium.

"Okay, are there any more nominees for president?" She questioned. "Just a reminder that being part of student council means that we get to hang." There was silence. "Anybody, anybody want to hang? Just. . . anyone want to hang out? Anyone? Oh, we could come up with our very own complicated high five. That'd be fun, huh?" She started to demonstrate before the band started to play music.

They all turned their attention to a banner falling down that had Bucky's face on it along with his claim of running for President. Wren couldn't help but roll her eyes at his dramatics. He flipped his way to the stage, the crowd of students cheering for him whilst Wren slowly clapped as she forced herself to show some kind of support. He was family after all. He made his way up onto the podium, Ms. Lee going to give him a high five to which he quickly rejected by brushing the side of his hair with his hands. When she moved out of the way, he took his stand.

"Great news, we have a brilliant and cheer tested candidate running for president this year. Me!" He smiled widely at his talk, cheers coming from the students once more. People started to chant his name and Bucky danced along to it.

The attention got stolen from Bucky when Zed suddenly started falling down the bleachers before landing on the small stage and quickly standing up. He pushed Bucky out of the way and cheered loudly. "Zombie strong! Hello, everyone. My name is Zed, and I am running for president."

"Zed can't steal my spotlight." Bucky sassed. "What about the whole anti-monster thing?"

Addison was quick to defend her boyfriend. "Anyone can run for president, Bucky."

"She actually has a point, Mr. Bucky." Ms. Lee told him with the nod of her head.

Fury took over him. "What?!"

"Yes." Ms. Lee walked off the stage and Bucky followed.

"A zombie president?" Lacey cried before the other two Aceys joined in. "Ew!" Everyone else cheered.

"Okay," Zed grabbed everyone's attention. "If you vote for me, I will bring you prosperity and awesomeness!" The group of students cheered for him and even Wren couldn't help but crack a smile as she clapped for her friend. The students all started to cheer his name. "As your president, I will make Seabrook a place that embraces zombies and. . ."
