HEY EVERYONE AND WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER EPISODE....I'm probably going to have a angry mob after me again.. (See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text Eda was going over her list for the day. "Luz needs a new coat and needs new clothes. Oswald need to help King to be checked for fleas. Am I missing anything?" She looked at herself in the mirror, then at a Grom picture of herself, King, Luz and Oswald. She chuckled. "Oh, you've changed, Owl Lady. And it's worth it."
She heard strange noises outside. She looked out the window to see Luz and King doing pull ups with Owlbert while Owen did curl ups with smoke. "Alright, King. What's the first thing you're going to do when you meet your dad?" asked Luz.
"And ten thousand!" said King. "Well, once we're done training, I'm gonna move out of that closet, that's for sure. Then, I'm going to ugly cry. Hard!"
"Make sure you bring a huge box of tissues," Owen reminded him.
"Don't worry, I won't forget!"
"Have you told Eda about your decision to lea-?"
King shushed Luz. "I- I'm not ready yet. I'm not sure how she'll react."

Eda silently closed the window and sighed sadly. "Everyone's leaving, huh? Even King. I guess I'm no substitute for the real thing. And luz , I always knew she had to leave the nest. In this case, literally." She opened her steamer trunk to put the Grom photo away, but stopped when she found a ukulele with a thunder cloud symbol carved on it. "Well, nothing like a good distraction."
She played a simple melody on it, causing a pink aura to appear and make the knick knacks in her room float. She gasped at this discovery. "Has my magic returned?" The aura disappeared and everything fell down. "Oh, guess not. Stupid curse." She put the ukulele down and walked away, not noticing one knick knack, a plant, started to burn up.
Luz and King were standing on the edge of a cliff, staffs in hand while King rode on Luz's back. They fell and flew over the water, maneuvering past several rocks then flying so the sun obscured them.

Back with Eda, she was dressed for the day and moved to the living room with her scroll showing the news.
"And we're back live at the emperor's castle! In light of Scooter Crane's retirement, today's ceremony will confirm Raine Whispers as the next head of the Bard coven."
The camera showed off the current coven heads before it panned to a rather timid looking androgynous witch with silver hair, tan skin and wearing a black tunic with red boots and large, circular glasses. "Do I have to be on camera?"
"For Titan's sake, just say something," the Abomination Coven head said off camera.
Raine said with no confidence whatsoever, "Uh, I am honored to work with Emperor Belos in preparation for the day of uniby. Uh, I mean, unily. I mean, uh, who knows, this is going all wrong. Get me out of here!"
