"So, what did you do to peeve off that god child?" Oswald asked the black dragon god.

Oh, it was over something stupid. We were playing his games and I was winning. In fact, I won all the time.

"And I take it he did not like it," asked Luz.

Yep. He was convinced I was cheating. He kept shouting, "You must have cheated! Admit it, you cheater! You cheated!" I swore I didn't. And then he threw me away. That's how I ended up with Henry who I found was a grimwalker with no memories.

"I'm sorry to hear that," said Camilla.

Don't be. He was right. But I say it was worth it, because after a long series of events of blood shed , I finally made my way back here. And then you found all me. Happy times, right?

"So, he was the one who threw you away?" asked Luz.

Nope. That would be the Archivists.

"Archivists?"

"Isn't it weird that they can hear that dragon and we can't?" asked Gus.

"Oswald did say the only ones who can hear it are the ones it wants them to hear it," said Willow. "Boy, that's a tongue twister."

Suddenly, the ground began to shake. "Oh, now what?" asked Oswald as he said, "We're not done here."

Purple strings shot out from the sky and began to grab everyone. "Mama! Amity!" shouted Luz.

Oswald pulled out his staff and was about to fire at the strings when suddenly, there was a flash of light.

"What happened?"

Hey!

"We were... just about to enter the Archives..."

HEY!

"We were just about to rescue Eda and King."

Luz, the human! You have to wake up.

Luz slowly opened her eyes. She swore she could hear a heartbeat. When her eyes adjusted to the dim light, she realized she was in Emperor Belos' throne room. "How did I get here?!" She looked down and to her horror, saw that she was wearing Belos outfit. Shocked, she gasped, then yelled out in fright and fell backwards, landing on the ground in a sitting position. She then looked up at the throne, totally confused. "What is this? Is- is this a dream? Ow!" Something bit her on the ear. She turned around and saw that it was her beloved and recently required palisman. "Stringbean, it's you! You sweet, little power noodle. I'm so happy to see you. Are Mama and the others okay?"

String bean let out a squeak that told her she didn't know either.

She left the throne room and walked down the corridors, looking for the way out. She ignored the stained glass mural that depicted her as Emperor Belos. Eventually, she found the front door and walked out of it. She walked up the bridge and looked around, scared. "Where is everyone?" She got her answer when she looked down and she gasped in horror. Down in the moat was just about every single resident of the Boiling Isles, all of them bearing horseshoe-shaped scars on their heads and wearing dull, lifeless eyes.

"No! No, no, no! Wh- When did this happen?!"

"Don't you remember?" said a resentful voice. Luz looked towards the source of sound, eyes wide and in surprise. Far away from her, Amity was standing on the platform on the other side that connected the bridge, holding her staff. She didn't look at Luz, but her voice was filled with anger. "This is all your doing. You helped Belos meet the Collector. Your actions led to THIS." She turned to face Luz, her eyes dripping with tears of hate as she pointed her staff at her. "You've been the real villain this whole time!"
