Inside his tower at the Emperor's castle, Hunter sewed the sigil of the Emperor's Coven onto his cape. His cardinal palisman, who he named Flapjack by the way, sat on his shoulder and chirped. "Yeah, It does look good as new!" he said to the bird. The sewing work on it looks shoddy and strings start coming off, not to mention the cloak has bandages on it. "...And I have no idea what I'm doing."

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Flapjack hid under the bed. Hunter opened the door to find two Emperor's Coven guards. One of them handed him a letter before the two of them left. He opened it and it read, "My duties are keeping my busy. I entrust you to lead the Coven Heads today. Consider this a test." This made Hunter smirk.

He approached the throne room where he found the coven heads already leaving. "Good. You're all here. We can get started-" To his shock, they just walked right past him without even acknowledging his existence. "Hey! Ugh! Wha- Where are you- Ugh! I said wait! Come back here!" But they ignored him. All except one. Raine. They were about to say something only to be pushed forward by Terra.

Annoyed by his lack of appreciation amongst the coven heads, Hunter entered the throne room to find Darius and Eberwolf discussing amongst themselves. "Darius! Eberwolf! Why is everyone leaving? We are scheduled to have a recruitment meeting."

Darius made an annoyed sigh as he said, "Good morning to you too, little prince. We've decided to reschedule the meeting, so go play arts and crafts or... whatever it is you do. Oh. Looks like you've already started." He used his abomination goo to grab Hunter's cape. He took one look at it and laughed. "This is impressively bad. Wait, is this the old Golden Guard sigil?"

Hunter shouted, "Of course it is! And this is no way to treat the emperor's-"

"Nephew?" Hunter glared at the abomination coven's leader. "I knew your predecessor. He was my mentor. One of the strongest witches I've ever known. But you... Hmm." He made a judging look at Hunter.

The boy said nervously, "But Belos says I don't need magic to serve the coven."

"And I say you don't deserve to wear that patch," Darius said coldly as he and Eberwolf left.

Feeling insecure, Hunter stopped them and asked, "Wait. What should I do? How do I... earn it?"

Darius let out an exasperated sigh and said, "Ugh, sweet mother of Titans. I- I don't know. Find new recruits for the Emperor's Coven? The best and the brightest witches in all the land. Then maybe, you can get this back."

"I'll do it," said Hunter with determination.

"Of course you will. You're very good at doing exactly what you're told."

This left Hunter feeling insecure again as the two left and slammed the door in his face. Unbeknownst to the two of them, the silver guard was hiding behind the throne, listening in on everything. He looked down and eyed what he was holding: a school photo of Luz, and her friends.

Willow trained relentlessly in the forest with her bee palisman Clover as her spotter. "After years of thinking I wasn't good enough, I finally found something I can be good at. Something I wanna be good at. Switching to the Plant Track was just the beginning. I'm on my way to becoming the witch I wanna be." After hours of push-ups, sit-ups and plenty of juice, she returned home.
