Sometimes a family can be a human witch, her harpy witch mother, her baby god brother, her mother's ex and their three kids, her ex-coven aunt, and her aunt's old coworkers

Here we were making fun of Luz all week for sending a billion heart emojis while in the middle of a crisis, like Amity wasn't sending the same amount back while actively in the middle of a school wide rebellion!

Chapter Text
Darkness. That's all King saw. And all he heard was a child's giggling. "Eh?"

Almost free! Almost free!

"Luz? Dad? Hooty? Is someone there?"

I won't be alone, I won't be alone anymore!

"Hello? Hello?"

Who said that? Who's there?

"Wha..."

Wait! Wait, wait, wait! Don't leave! Come back!

________

Luz shook King awake. "Hey, sleepyhead. We're back in Bonesborough."

King looked at the Boiling Isles again. No. The remains of his father. "Well, at least you know where YOUR dad is now." He frowned with envy. "I still don't know where mine is."

Luz realized what he meant. "Right. Sorry."

After they left the ship and waved goodbye to Salty, the group hopped onto emerald and Alice and flew across the sky and over Bonesborough. Luz pulled out her little device. She had received a lot of texts from Amity. Hooty, still in his portable state, loomed over her shoulder. "Hmmm. 'Mom took Pensta, but we're safe. We'll contact.' Aww, she sent so many hearts! Hope she's doing okay."

" It's okay if you wanna check on them. I can get to the Owl House on my own," said King.

The group suddenly had flashbacks of what they learned so far. That Emperor Belos is actually a witch hunter named Phillip Wittebane who wants to drain the life of all the creatures on the Boiling Isles with the help of some child god called the Collector, that King is a Titan and probably the last one.

Hooty interrupted their thoughts by saying, "Hey, look! Everyone missed us so much they put up pretty signs!"

The kids looked down to see wanted posters lining the walls and light posts around the town. One featuring a demonically drawn Hooty, another of Harpy Eda, then one with Luz casting a glyph spell with King next to her, one of Oswald holding a flame sword , and the last one featuring Lilith holding fire in her hand.

King whispered, "Luz, how long can you hold your breath? We kind of stick out."

"Right," Luz said as she put her kitty hood up. "Let's take the long way home as well," she said as she cast the invisibility glyph and held her breath.

Two coven scouts laughed as they rode on a cart the path that led away from the Owl House. "Without that bird-tube, this place was wide open," one of them said.

"I still haven't recovered from that tea party," the other said as he took a swig of apple blood.

Luz undid the invisibility glyph with an exhale, Alice landed emerald in front of the Owl House. She let out a worried rumble when she saw the sorry state it was in. The interior was even worse. The place was deserted, ransacked, everything inside was confiscated and Eda and Lilith are nowhere to be seen.

King walked in before Luz and stopped. Everything he possessed was gone. He clenched his fist and made an soft, angry "Wrrryyy..." Luz put a hand on his shoulder, calming him down a little.
