DISCLAIMER: Zizes never joined glee club, Zizes and Puck never dated

-----------------------------------------------------------------

We are here, in New York for nationals. This is the furthest we have made it, this could be glee club's big break. We are all gathered in one of the hotel rooms for a team meeting.

We were all sitting around waiting for Mr. Schue when he walks in and says, "All right, guys. This is your time. Now, you are all on lockdown till you finish writing our songs for nationals. I want at least two solid verses by the time I get back."

"Aren't you gonna help us?" Mercedes asks

"I, um- I will be back and read your amazing creations and give notes. But right now, I have to head to the theater to, uh, fill out some paperwork." Mr. Schue says before leaving the room

"Let's get to work," Rachel says

We all jot down song lyric ideas for a while when Artie and Brittany say they have one. They have Puck play the guitar for them while they sing.

"In the middle of the night. I'm in bed alone. Don't care if you're glass, paper, Styrofoam. When I need some water, baby" Brittany sings

"Coffee or gin" Artie sings

"You're the only thing I want to put them in, My cup, my cup. Saying what's up to my cup, my cup. More of a friend than a silly pup, my cup" Brittany sings

"You know what it is. Saying what's up to my cup" Artie sings

"I'm saying what's up to my cup, I'm saying what's up to my cup" Brittany sings

"So, what did you guys think?" Artie asks

"You wrote a song, about a cup?" Santana asks

"Yeah" Brittany says

"We gotta get out of here." Quinn says, standing up to put her coat on

"Wait. No, no, no. Mr. Schue gave us explicit instructions. To write a song." Rachel says

"And our problem is that our only inspiration are mattresses and bathroom cups." Quinn says

"Quinn's right." Finn agrees

"We're in the artist capital of the world. Poets, musicians, actors, playwrights, every dreamer that's ever lived has passed through this city. If we want our dreams to come true, we need to be out there with them, not stuck in here." I say

"Guys, I don't think this is a good idea. I mean, we still got those songs to write." Artie says

"If we don't write them, we're gonna lose." Rachel says

"No! They're right." Puck chimes in, "Can't you hear the city calling to you?"

"We don't need to write songs for nationals. New York's gonna write them for us." Quinn says

We all agree on going out and exploring New York a little bit, then go back to the hotel rooms and try and write lyrics with any inspiration we may have gotten.

When we got back, the girls (and Kurt) went to our hotel room and the boys went to theirs. Rachel and I went right to writing and the others had a pillow fight. It was kind of hard to write with all the noise and being hit with pillows, so I decided to go to the boys' room and see what they were doing. I walked to their room and knocked on the door.

Mike opened the door and said, "Oh, hey y/n. Come in."

I walked in and said, "Thanks."

I looked around and saw Puck, he looked at me and said, "Hey, y/n. How's the song writing coming along?"
