#21: the end

Years later

Takemichi's POV

I opened eyes to find myself sitting down at a beautifully decorated table. I looked around and seen that the whole building was beautifully decorated. Dark blues with dashes of gold, sliver, and white. There were giant flower center pieces on the tables. A giant glass chandelier hung from the ceiling. I wore a suit that looked like it costs a few hundred dollars. Hinata, who was sitting on the right of me, wore a dress that looked like it costs just as much. My friends also sat at the table with us looking expensive. Actually, now that I look around more, everyone here is dressed very formally.

Everyone... as Draken, who was sitting next to Emma, Smiley and Angry, Baji sitting next to Chifuyu and Kazutora, along with Mitsuya who sat with his sisters. Shinichiro and Izana, Hakkai and his sister, even the Haitani brothers were here, so were Kokonoi and Inupi. I could spot Y/n's brothers and a couple of other foreigners that I didn't know. And a few old members from Toman.

"What's going on?" I thought to myself, running a hand through my hair.

"Hmm?" Hinata tilted her head in my direction. "Takemichi... is that you? Are you back?" She asked me.

"I- umm, yeah. I just got back to the present... what's going on?" I questioned. She gave me a soft smile and extended a finger up ahead of us. I followed where she pointed.

My eyes landed on two large thrones with an even larger table in front. Sitting on the thrones were none other than Mikey and Y/n. Mikey wore a navy blue suit with gold lining, a white shirt underneath, and a black bow tie bringing it all together. Next to him, Y/n wore a beaded laced navy ball gown. Her hair was straightened and a sliver crown was placed on her head. But what stood out the most on both figures were the giant matching diamonds on their ring fingers.

That's when I came to the realization. "Wait this is- are they- is this their-" Hina cut me off.

"Yes takemichi, they're married now. This is the after party. Isn't it just beautiful? Maybe we could have a wedding like this one day?" She smile dreamily staring at Mikey and Y/n before she started to giggle.

"What- what's funny?" I was very confused now.

"Nothing, it's just... we could never afford anything close to this." She giggled a little more.

"Wait, are we broke?" I started to panic.

"Of course not, but all of this costs millions. Me and you don't have that kinda money to spend, Michi." She explained.

"Ohh, you're probably right. The cheapest thing in this whole room is probably the cloth napkins." I said, picking up the napkin next to my plate.

Hina just giggled again. "Aren't you happy though, Takemichi? You finally got the happy ending. No one we care about is dead, all our friends and family are living good lives, and no enemies to worry about." She turned to face me with a huge smile. "You helped Mikey create an era of peace. And now I get to live to see one of my best friends get married."

I processed everything she just said and suddenly a bunch of different memories hit me like a truck. Baji getting stabbed during the fight with Valhalla and Y/n saving him, a few weeks after we took on the Black Dragons, then the Kanto Incident, to the Battle of the Three Deities. Every memory led to the same event. The event that ended everything. The final battle, where Y/n's almost died. Where Mikey's dark impulses disappeared that day.

But all those memories were altered in way. Not as I remember. It seems that at each of these battles, Y/n was there, front and center, fighting at the frontline. Like her influence, saved everyone and not mine.
