[Johnson is seen in his house on one of his knees, yes on his knees, proposing to Ebanehita when Osose walked in on them.  It was her birthday afterall and Johnson had planned an in-house party, inviting only a few people, the gateman, Abigail the house help, amongst others.]

JOHNSON: Will you marry me, dear Ebanehita Isabu?

EBANEHITA: [She was flabbergasted and the joy on her face conveyed as much. She surely did take her time to digest the thoughts that swirled] Yes!

[He placed the ring on the ring finger and sealed it with a gentle kiss. It called for a celebration as the Abigail rushed in with the bottle of wine as instructed.]

[Osose walked in to experience this joy they had, but the impact on her was truly unceremoniously covetous and sour. She faked the comely expressions on her face as she progressed to congratulate the couple.]

OSOSE:  Johnson was supposed to be mine. This thieving bitch has claimed him for herself. I own him. He is mine. I have loved him for many years now, since we were kids. This is just an engagement celebration. It will surely end here. Johnson will be mine.

[These were her thoughts as she smiled and exchanged pleasantries with the couple. She was enormously malicious.]

OSOSE:  Congratulations John-John! Is that how you do your things now? [She asked jokingly] You decided to get engaged and didn’t hint me so that we can get the best diamond ring in town, eh! It is not fair o! God when?! Congrats my real guy.

JOHNSON: Osose my bestie! It’s not like that na. You’re my friend and I would have told you, but I was just led by the Holy spirit to do this low-key.

OSOSE:  No problem though. I understand. The God that is allocating this blessing of union should locate me soon. [She prayed to their hearing and they helped her as well reply “Amen”]

[Ebanehita showed a rather concerning interest in how long Johnson's hands were immersed in their very brief handshake all through this conversation as she thwarted Osose's indignant efforts to get Johnson's attention.]

[The more she tried to get his attention, the more Ebanehita would cause a perfectly orchestrated distraction. This made Osose even more determined to ruin their engagement if given the chance. However, the smile on her face reflected a communion with the celebration. But her thoughts were opposite.]

[Mamud and Abigail were having a commentary in the regular Nigerian pidgin English]

MAMUD:  Walahin, me ma, I no go fit propose to woman, I go kneel down for ground, lai lai.

ABIGAIL:  Mamud, my guy, you when knee down beg for food yesterday, you go knee down las las

MAMUD:  For weytin, I only knee down for Allah, food and one other thing like that.

ABIGAIL:  Weytin be that other thing like that?

[Light Fades out however on the happy couples of Johnson and Ebanehita].
