This will be the first chapter this month.

I have managed to write the rest of the story, albeit a little bit at a time, so there should be no more problems with posting for a while.

Day 3 Month 2 Year 381 World Calendar

Sky 200 km in the western part of the Barbarassa Empire

There is a huge mass of iron flying in the empty blue sky. Flying at an altitude of 8.000 meters is the AWACS EC-2 early warning and control aircraft, developed by Japan from the C-2 transport plane. At the beginning of the development, they studied the P-1 patrol aircraft, which was originally equipped with a large number of electronic devices, but the C-2 transport aircraft, which had some parts used together, was selected for its interior space and cruising range.

As a result, although it weighed about 3 tons more than the original C-2, it carried almost nothing else, making it a 'movable fatty' with a cruising range on par with the E-767 and mobility on par with a fighter. However, mobility meant smooth movement according to the situation, which was important when coordinating with the aircraft.

The EC-2 continued to turn slowly. Its radar rotated slowly, making six revolutions per minute. A speed of over 700 km/h is seen on the radar 1.000 meters below the EC-2. They were 20 FT-4 training light fighters belonging to the Air Self-Defense Force.

Their guided missiles have a range of only 10 kilometers, so firing them at around 9 kilometers is just right. However, no matter how many missiles they launch, they have to get as close as 10 kilometers. This situation is a way of fighting that deviates from the current BVR warfare, and it caused tension among the crews piloting the planes. They planned to enter the skies over the capital of the Barbarassa Empire in less than another 30 minutes, firing guided munitions as they descended toward the wyvern's critical altitude.

Furthermore, 10 minutes later than the FT-4, Falcon fighters from the Grand Lago Kingdom came flying at 550 km/h with a 250 kg bomb under their fuselage. This bomb was the same as the Mk. 82 used by the JASDF, and the pylon for mounting the bomb was designed when the Falcon was manufactured. An additional tank that could be set in the same style was also designed, which would greatly increase the cruising range.

They were responsible for clearing the wyverns in case the FT-4s miss them, and for bombing the airstrip and barracks facilities to disable enemy forces. They were informed that they were only allowed to fire on the 'clearly armed men' on the ground, and that firing on civilians was strictly forbidden. The plan was to use this two-stage attack to make it impossible for most of Barbarassa's air and ground forces to come out. The AC-3 Suisei and A-1 Hiryu would follow.

They were to be responsible for thoroughly destroying the ground forces with guided munitions, machine gunfire, and artillery fire. It was said by Japan's friendly countries that... "Even a penny grass would grow after their passage," with the caveat that as far as military installations were concerned. In addition, the Japanese recon plane had already revealed that Barbarassa had already set up a number of barricades in the capital, so it would be up to the Ground Self-Defense Force to deal with them.

In the past year or so, Japan has been revising its law to make it easier to cooperate with other countries, and public opinion is becoming more tolerant of the exercise of the right of collective self-defense, which is one of the reasons why this cooperation with Grand Lago was established. The Japanese had requested the deployment of a large number of drones to deal with this guerrilla warfare, and intended to use them to sabotage the operation.
