Vaggie always tended to push her feelings aside, especially around Charlie. She hated it when she worried about her and always tried to make sure that Charlie didn't know a lot about her human life. Though on days like today when Charlie was gone, her thoughts consumed her.

Charlie and Alastor were out and were most likely going to be gone for most of the day due to work that needed to be done outside of the hotel, and she needed Vaggie to stay behind to make sure that Angel and Husk didn't destroy the hotel.

"Angel, for the last time, if you're going to be a nuisance then leave and go somewhere else until Charlie gets back. I'm not in the mood to deal with you today!" Vaggie yelled at Angel, who was consistently bothering Husker.

"Ugh fineee. I'll just go hang with Cheri," Angel said, standing up and blowing Husk a kiss before walking out the front door.

Vaggie sighed, sitting down at the bar and laying her head down. Dealing with Angel was too stressful, and her thoughts weren't being any nicer. The memories of her human life kept flooding into her brain, hitting her like a train all at once. At that point, she couldn't contain her tears any longer and softly sobbed into her arms.

This caught Husker off guard, as he had only ever seen Vaggie acting tough and angry all the time around pretty much everyone. He took another swig of whiskey and walked over to her, setting the bottle down.

"Hey, uh, everything okay?" He asked, not really knowing what to say in this kind of situation.

"Why do you care? Just go back to drinking your whiskey and leave me alone," She replied, burying her head further into her arms.

"Normally I would, but the only time anyone ever cries like this at my bar is when Angel does. Dude has some serious issues," Husk said, pouring some whiskey into a shot glass and passing it to her.

She sat up, tears still continuing to stream down her cheeks, "I-I shouldn't-"

"Drink it or don't, it's not my problem either way," he said, looking her in the eye, "You just seemed like you needed a drink and someone to talk to."

"And I suppose you're suggesting that I talk to you?"

"Hey, if you don't want to, like I said, it's not my problem."

Vaggie sighed, tracing her finger along the top of the glass. "Alright fine, but don't expect me to go into detail."

"Wouldn't expect anything less."

Vaggie took a deep breath, thinking about what she wanted to say. Surprisingly, Husker wasn't being pushy, nor did he seem like he was bored. He just stood there patiently and allowed her to talk on her own time.

"I was just...getting a bit overwhelmed. Whenever Charlie isn't around, I just end up remembering horrible things about my human life.  It just becomes too much after a while," she explained, wiping the tears from her eyes.

"I get it, there are things from my past I don't like to remember either, but you know what helps me?"

"Whiskey?"

"That and talking it out with someone you trust."

"And you're suggesting that I trust you?"

"Hell no. I mainly talk to Nifty. She's a pretty good listener surprisingly. But for you, I think Charlie would appreciate having you confide in her for this type of shit."

Vaggie smiled slightly, never expecting Husker to be so good with other people emotions. Yet he was actually excellent at making her feel better.

"Yeah, thanks Husk, I'm feeling better."

"Thoughts still bugging you?"

"Yeah, but I think you've heard enough of my bullshit for the day."

"Damn right, now get outta here if you're not going to drink that."

"Its all yours," She said with a chuckle, standing up, "and Husk, thanks again."

"Don't mention it, seriously."
