|POETIC INTRO|
How is it love if the consequences of lovemaking abort his attention?
How do I live with scares in my womb
How do I live with a heart drained of love
How do I live with a bastard growing in my soil?
I lived on pills hoping to catch up to life
I drank to stupor, hoping to shirk my worries
I lay on the weed, hoping to microwave my pleasures
He forced my thighs open to satisfy his demons
He stained my flowers with his monster
He sucked on my breast till I felt them no more!
I Am Eniola Balogun; This is my story.
FLASHBACK(3rd OF FEBRUARY 2016)

BACKGROUND MUSIC: (Omah Lay, I'm a mess)

ENIOLA
What do I do, Rukky?
How do I look into the eyes of this child and say
"You are a product of rape."
How can I love a child born from intercourse that recked my life?
(Tears roll down her cheeks)RUKKY
(She pats Eniola on the back)
None of this is your fault, my dear.
Please put yourself together, Eniola.
Tears won't fix any of your problems right now.ENIOLA
What do I do, Rukky?
I can't bring this child into this world
What do I tell my parents?
My Grandfather will kill me.
Oh God, why me?RUKKY
Depriving this child of the right to life would only make you as guilty as the guy who did this to you.ENIOLA
I know that, Rukky
But I have no choice. My life is a mess.
Nothing has ever worked out for me.
I decided to live a decent life, and this happened to me.
My virginity was stolen from me by a man who claimed to love me; my first encounter with the forbidden fruit left me with the fruit of the womb.
Why me, Rukky?RUKKY
Relax, Eniola
It's not the end of the world. Everything is a mess, but I promise you everything will be alright.
You can get rid of the child without getting rid of his or her life.ENIOLA
What do you mean?
How?RUKKY
You can give him or her out for adoption. All we have to do is find a perfect couple. My uncle works with many orphanage homes he can help us work something out.
Your parents think we are in London. All we have to do is keep making them believe we are there. Once you give birth to the child, then we return to LondonENIOLA
Do you think that will work out?
Grandpa may find out.RUKKY
Chief have his ways of figuring things out, but we have no choice. Abortion is not an option. I wouldn't be part of it nor let you do such.ENIOLA
I'm scared I don't want to die, Rukky.
(she rests on Rukky's shoulder)RUKKY
You can't die, Eniola
You will be fine. Get up. Let's go back to the hotel. It's getting dark.
(She pulls Eniola from the ground)
