Chapter 10 : Complications.

Cold.

Something cold touched my face.

I opened my eyes to meet a dark sky above me with little droplets of water falling to meet my skin.

I sat up and quickly grabbed my stuff to run inside the building before I get wet. I looked back to see where I was laying down. I guess I fell a sleep under the warm sun.

I pulled my phone out to see that I had several missed calls and texts from a few people. From Niki and Sunoo.

And Heeseung.

I checked the time and it was already 8:46pm. I walked down the stairs of the abandoned building and opened the doors. I stood under the awning.

"You're kidding." It was pouring rain.

My phone suddenly rang.

It was Jake.

"Hello?"

"Y/n, are you almost here?"

"Here? Where? For what?"

"My dorm for our...tutoring. Did you forget?"

Shit. I forgot that was today. I checked the time again and realized I was already 20 minutes late.

"Right! I'm almost there. It's pouring so um...bad traffic!"

"It's fine if you can't do it today-"

"No! I mean, no. I'll be there in 5 minutes."

"Oh, okay."

"I'll see you there."

"Wait, y/n, you don't know my dorm numb-"

Oop. I accidentally hung up on him. Whatever, it probably wasn't even important anyways.

I looked back out to see that it was still pouring. I opened my phone out again and started dialing a taxi to drive me. Then, my phone suddenly turned black.

I tapped the screen.

"No, no, no, no, no!" It died. "Fucking hell." I muttered under my breath. Just perfect timing.

I took my school jacket off and covered my head with it and started running. Good thing it's not too far. Maybe I won't even be all wet when I get there.

I realized I shouldn't have hung up on him because now I'm standing in front of the dormitory lobby wondering which way and what number his dorm is.

"Y/n?"

I turned around to meet a familiar face.

"Oh, Jake."

"You didn't answer my text about my dorm number so good thing I came to wait down here for you." He said.

"Oh, right sorry. My phone died." I said as he smiled.

"And why are you all soaked?" He looked at my hair and my clothes which were drenched in cold water.

"I was running here in the rain...kind of a long story." I said as I shivered from the cold water. I looked around to see people staring at me all weird. They must think I'm even more crazy looking like this.

Jake looked around at the staring people and suddenly took off his zipped up hoodie and handed it to me.

"Here, you must be cold."

I looked up at him. "I'm fine, I don't want to get it wet-"

He took my school jacket from my and put his jacket on me and zipped it up.
