"Up, y/n! You need to jump higher!" My coach yelled at me for the fifth time.

"I'm trying!" I said. Sunghoon suddenly grabbed my hand to stop me on the ice.

"Are you really, y/n?" His voice seemed a bit annoyed. "Because it seems like you're focused on a million other things right now."

"I'm sorry." I sighed.

"Jay told me you skipped half of your classes today. What's going on?" He asked.

I looked down at my skates to avoid eye contact. "Heeseung."

He paused for a moment. "What about him?"

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you? Because if he did-"

"No! Just, please stop. I don't wanna talk about it right now." I looked up to his eyes. He stared back into mine.

"I don't think having a conversation is part of the routine! Let's start again!" My coach yelled from behind the glass windows.

We both bowed to her and got back in our starting positions.

"Fine. But we're talking about this later." He said.

_______

"Ready to go?" Sunghoon asked, waiting by the arena doors.

I quickly grabbed my bag and walked out with him. There was a long moment of silence. It was dark out as the time was 10:42 since our coach made is stay late to
continue practicing. There was a slight breeze in the air as Sunghoon and I walked along side each other on the sidewalk.

"Are we going to talk about it?" He broke the silence. I didn't say anything for a moment, trying to figure out what to say.

"On the trip," I started, "Heeseung and I kind of became, a thing? But anyways, today he was totally ignoring me and acting strange. I don't know what I did."

"What? Did you try asking him?"

"Sunghoon, he was ignoring me."

"Right, right." He nodded.

"Did anything happen when he came over to your place?" I asked.

"No, we just had a little drink and ate some food. Usual stuff." He paused. "Did anything happen after the trip but before school with you?"

"I don't think so. Well.."

"Well what?"

"After Heeseung walked me to the dorm, Jake um.."

"He what?" Sunghoon's voice becoming more stern.

"He suddenly came over last night."

"What? I thought there was nothing going on between you too anymore." He said.

"There isn't. In fact, he came over asking me to be friends again."

"And?"

"I said no."

He stopped and faced me. "Finally listening to me, huh."

I laughed and pushed him. "Yeah, whatever."

"But that still doesn't explain why Heeseung is ignoring me." I said as we continued walking.

"Wait, did Jake come over right after Heeseung left?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

"You don't think he could've seen him in the lobby or on his way out?"

I faced him. "Oh my god."

I started running back to the dorm.

"Where are you going?!" He yelled.

"I gotta talk to him right now! I'll see you tomorrow!"

How could I possibly miss that? I mean, what if they met in the hallway. Did Jake say something to him? This is so not good.

Eventually, I made it back to the dorm. I stood in front of the door for a while, trying to calm down to seem like I wasn't just sprinting the whole way here.

Suddenly, deja vu hit me. Once again, I was standing at the door, apologizing to Heeseung for something he doesn't deserve.

I took a deep breath and unlocked the door. I stepped into the dark kitchen and closed the door behind me. The only light that was on was coming from the tv. He must be on the couch then.

"I'm home!" I said. No answer. Still ignoring me. I deserve that.

I walked to the living room and saw him awake, watching a tv show. "You're still awake?" I asked. I walked over towards the couch slowly. "Listen, I need to talk to you about something-"

"Y/n." He cut me off. His voice was cold. "I'm kind of tired, so can it wait til tomorrow?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. It's just that it's kind of important-"

He suddenly sat up, turning off the tv. "Never mind, I think I'm just gonna go to sleep." He walked past me, bumping my shoulder a little.

I turned around. "Heeseung!" I said a little louder. He stopped but didn't turn to face me.

"I know you're mad at me and I think I knaow why.
The only reason Jake come over is because he wanted to become friends again. But I told him no. I told him I wasn't comfortable being friends with him and he complied. Theres nothing going on between us."
He tilted his head to the side and slowly turned around.

"Are you lying?" He asked

"No, i'm not. I promise." I walked closer to him. "I would never want to hurt you like that. I'm sorry." I pulled him into a hug.

He hesitated to hug me back. But after a while, he wrapped his arms around my body and rested his head in the crook of my neck.

"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have ignored you like that and I should have talked to you first." He paused. "I just thought after what happened at the lodge, you were done with him. But then I saw you let him in again."

"I know, I should have asked you first. I'm sorry, Hee."

He suddenly pulled away and looked down into my eyes, smiling a little.

"Hee? You're calling me Hee?"

"Is that...not okay?"

"I find it very cute." He chuckled.

"Cute?" I smiled.

"Very." He said as he leaned down and pressed his lips to mine.

The kiss quickly got heated as I wrapped my arms around his neck. He used his hands to pull off my jacket.

He planted kisses along my neck. "I hated it when you ignored me." I said, my voice a little breathy.

He pulled away for a moment, using his finger to lift my chin up to look into his eyes.

"You have no idea."
