"Mom can we get a snake ?"
"No."
"A monkey ?"
"No."
"An elephant ?"
"No." I said as I looked at him through the rearview mirror. "Why can't you guys ask for a normal pet ? Like a puppy or a cat or a hamster ?"
"We did. And you said no." Kai shrugged his shoulders in the backseat.
"Ohh.. and you thought I'd say yes to a snake ?" I raised my eyebrow looking at the road ahead.
"Yes." He answered simply. "You like snakes don't you ?"
"I do." I chuckled. "But we aren't getting any snakes or dogs or elephants."
"Why ?"
"Because.. you're not old enough to have a pet right now. Maybe when you turn eight."
"That's.." He tried to count his fingers.
"Four years from now." Kiara told him without even counting her fingers.
"No, it's three." Kai argued.
"Four! we are four years old. Four plus four is eight. Right mom ?"
"Yes." I chuckled and she sticked her tounge out to her brother.
"Mom says I'm the smartest." She proudly said.
"What? Me? I didn't say that. You must've-"
"You did mom, remember when we were-"
"We're here!" I interrupted her as I pulled at the parking lot of the amusement park, they looked outside the car windows with their faces lightening up. Saved by the park.
I got out and opened the backseat door and unclipped their seatbelts. Kai and Kiara got out of the car and looked around excitedly. I didn't tell them where we were going so the look on their faces was priceless.
I walked towards the entrance, the both of them holding hands walking ahead of me.
I paid for three tickets to the lady at the entrance and wrapped the ticket belts on the twins' wrists.
"Where are we going to start ?" I asked as them soon as we got inside.
"Can we take the Ferris wheel first ?" Kiara asked and Kai agreed with her.
We headed to the Ferris wheel and got Inside, the worker helping us secure our seat. "Aren't you scared ?" I looked at the both of them and they shaked their heads. I was seated in the middle of them and had to hear screams of excitement as the wheel started, from both ears. Them pointing out what they can see from above, all the houses, cars and people, pointing out all the rides they wanted to try. I'm pretty sure they were the loudest on the Ferris wheel.
And true to their words, they weren't scared. Not only during the Ferris wheel but all the other rides we took too. We did every ride that allowed me to go with them. The flat rides, mini rollercoaster, railways, water rides, transport rides and bumper car rides. My kids literally refused to play with the indoor playground equipment or watch a show.
"We already have enough toys at home and we can see a show on TV."
But atleast they watched the fireworks show, for fifteen minutes before they got bored. I very well knew this when I bought them here, the twins are very hyper and they love playing. They wouldn't just sit and watch a movie with all the rides surrounding them.
Kai even got angry at me because I told him, he isn't allowed to go on the Tower of Terror. We had to go to the worker there, so she'd tell Kai personally, since he didn't believe me. She even put him on the height measurement so he'll get satisfied. I don't know what four year old would think that shits fun. I'd pee myself before I take that ride.
