"I swear I've been to this building before." I said as Kenny and I got inside the elevators.I don't know when or how... But I feel like I've been here before.
"It was the headquarters to my investigation company, KB Investigators."
"Ohh." I nodded finally realising why it looked so familiar.
"You once sneaked in here searching for the flash drive didn't you ?" His eyebrows arched and I chuckled, nodding.
Kenny also chuckled. "I knew for a fact I never bought you here."
The elevators dinged and we got out after the doors opened.
"Babe are you sure we can trust this guy ?" I asked as we walked through the hallway.
"Yeah." He nodded, biting his lower lip. "He's the best in the game.. plus you got your friend working with him, so stop worrying okay ?"
I nodded and we got inside the office. It was filled with many IT equipment, online computers, laptops, desktop computers, computer monitors, digital screens, servers switches and other networking equipment. Maddie's definitely liking this room.
"You guys are finally here." A guy with huge round glasses and short blonde hair said as I went to hug Maddie.
"You were supposed to be here two hours ago." She scolded as we pulled away from each other.
"Sorry, we got a little delayed." I responded giving Kenny a glare.
He smirked knowing very well the reason for our delay. "Blue this is Sam, my IT specialist."
"Hi." The guy said to me. He looked shy and quiet.. this is the guy helping us track down Moscow ?
Okay but his type are usually the smartest ones... you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover they say. Plus Kenny seems to trust his capabilities so I'm also putting my faith and trust in him.
"Hi." I greeted. "So... Have you guys found anything yet ?"
Sam and Madds have been working together in tracking Moscow down for almost a week now. After what happened at the ship, Kenny and I have put in extra work to trace down Moscow and find out about his whereabouts. I think we could've easily eliminated Moscow after he attacked us for the first time. But how do we even start to plan when we don't even know where he is? It's hard fighting an enemy you can't find, especially when he knows where you are.
"Unfortunately.. nothing." Maddie sighed, sitting down on the chair next to her. "The phone he used to contact you was a burner phone, it's untraceable and has a non existent meter number. Plus he probably chewed the sim card, It has been out of service ever since he hung up."
"What about the phone that belongs to the sniper who shot Blue? Nothing leading to Moscow?" Kenny asked.
"His phone only has two contacts, one of an old woman in an old age home and a cab." Sam replied. "We also tried finding more information about him, turns out he's not from Mayville or Italy."
"So this is just another dead end." I sighed and sat on top of the desk, pushing some files and papers away.
"It would have been helpful if we knew the identity of the men you killed at the ship." Maddie voiced out. "Tracing their movements before they died might have led us to Moscow."
"Well, I know one of them is Edward, does that help ?" I joked.
Maddie chuckled. "And how many Edwards are in this world ?" She took out two packets of M&M's and threw one at me. Yes, the guys don't get the chocolates."It would have been helpful if you saw his ID number."
