"Come on, Endeavor!" Shockwave shot to the side, catapulted by his quirk. "Don't tell me you're slowing down, old man!"

In response, a torrent of flames surged towards him, the resounding roar of the Number Two hero nearly overpowering the accompanying rumble. Ever since his forced removal from the arena, he had been engaging in an increasing number of altercations with the Flame Hero. Endeavor had one of the few quirks capable of inflicting actual harm upon him, which only heightened the exhilaration. Fortunately, he always managed to evade capture, landing a solid blow or two before vanishing into thin air. Shockwave couldn't quite articulate it, but there was something about the Hero that ignited an unparalleled fury within him.

And provoking Endeavor made for a good wager.

Channeling all his stored energy to propel himself over a building and deftly maneuver through the intricate labyrinth of alleys, Shockwave landed with a controlled roll. Carefully patting out the smoldering edges of his costume, he briskly rounded a corner. True to his word, Giran awaited him there, tightly clutching a substantial stack of cash. "Good job, Shockwave. Managed to land some good hits in and escape with your life."

"A bit of a close call," He shrugged with all the confidence of someone who had done this multiple times. "But par for the course for Endeavor. Anyone else bet on me besides myself and you?"

"Uh, yeah," Giran scratched his head. "Just one guy. Lucky fellow, eh?"

Shockwave let out a dry laugh, "Yeah. Lucky."

To Shockwave's surprise, the past few weeks had been remarkably calm and uneventful, providing Shigaraki ample time for brooding and contemplation on their future actions. The gladiator seldom frequented the bar during this period, but whenever he did, the villain was fixated on the TV screen, closely observing the unfolding events of the U.A. sports festival. There was one particular youngster who had left a lasting impact, as if striking a chord within him, prompting murmurs about the boy's resemblance to All Might.

Initially, Shockwave paid little heed to the man-child's activities. However, the situation changed when the name "Stain" started making waves in the news headlines—a self-proclaimed Hero-Killer vigilante. This caught Shockwave's attention, compelling him to read the articles delving into Stain's righteous ideals and moral convictions. The former ring fighter couldn't help but snort derisively at the ideology. However, everything changed when Stain was unexpectedly delivered to their very doorstep, transported to the bar through Kurogiri's warping ability. Predictably, clashes erupted between Shigaraki and the vigilante, with Stain expressing disdain for Shigaraki's demeanor, and Shigaraki, in turn, reacting unfavorably to the call-out of his childish behavior.

However, the repercussions had already taken hold—by the time Stain had been captured, his name and ideology had already become entwined with the League. "A 'League'," Shockwave scoffed, it was merely composed of him, Shigaraki, and Kurogiri. However, the situation had changed. Now, an increasing number of individuals were gravitating toward them, drawn by the magnetism of the Hero Killer's cause.

Initially, Shigaraki threw a tantrum about being associated with "that asshole." It fell upon Shockwave to convince him that attracting more individuals was advantageous. He just had to make sure the right ones found them...

He brought his phone up to his ear, "Hey, Giran...

We could use your services..."

A few days of nothing but dipshits whose quirks were only good for things like stealing someone's purse, or scaring some kids. Shockwave's patience with the underworld broker was wearing thin, and his civility was beginning to crack. Giran must have sensed this because he finally started pulling out the good stuff.
