Chapter 29

"Where is Singto?" Ben asked.

He was happy to hear that Krist had returned home with Singto but when he reached, he was shocked to see Krist crying in his bedroom. He searched for Singto but couldn't find him

"He checked into a hotel for the night. He told me to go home and pick him up in the morning." Nat replied

Ben sighed. He nodded and went upstairs to his room. He saw that Krist had fallen asleep too. He decided to talk to him in the morning.

In the morning,Krist was in a dilemma. He thought that his thing's would be there so he didn't bring his clothes. He then took a shower and with no choice wore the same clothes. He decided to go home and bring his clothes and laptop. After a quick shower, he went down and saw Ben sitting alone. He went to him and hugged him

"Good morning, Krist. How did you sleep?" Ben asked

"I slept well. I thought Singto would be here. Didn't he come back?" Krist asked

"No. I spoke to Nat. Singto has left for office. I am going there now. Let's eat together then." Ben said

Krist nodded and sat beside him. After eating, Ben said,"Do you want me to drop you home? You must have work today."

Krist was about to refuse but then nodded. He had to go for his clothes.
"I just need my clothes. I have taken a week's leave from the office. I don't have to go."

"Ok. Let's go then. I will drop you there. Will you come to Singto's office after that?" Ben asked

Krist shook his head.
"I will come back here. Singto will ignore me there. I want to wait for him here. I will cook his favourite food tonight." He said excited

Ben smiled.
"Good to see that you are taking the initiative. But are you sure? Do you want to start new life with him?"

Krist nodded. "I am sure. I want to forget what happened in the past and start a new life with him. I still love him."

Ben was happy. He knew that Krist would come back soon. He hoped that Singto will be back with Krist soon.

"I am happy to hear that but what about Singto? He is still insisting on divorcing you. I don't blame him. He has been through alot in the past, when his parents died. He was alone and broken. He went to his girlfriend but she left him too. If it weren't for his grandfather, he wouldn't have been here. His grandfather not only saved his business but he gave him a new life. A family."

"Singto recovered but he stopped trusting people. He met many people but they were only interested in his money and status. He stopped believing in love." Ben said

"But after he met you, he became the old Singto. He was laughing and smiling again. You gave him the family he had always longed for. I know that he was wrong. He shouldn't have lied to you. He changed himself after loving you."

"He became selfish. He couldn't stay or live without you. He didn't want to be alone again. So he did what he thought was the best thing. He was wrong and he realised it."

"Why did he tell me to leave?" Krist asked

"I told him to let you go. I didn't want you to suffer. You looked so miserable and scared. I was afraid that you would... So I told him to let you go. But I knew in my heart that you loved him alot and that one day, you will be back." Ben said, smiling.

"Did Singto believe too? Was he miserable? Did he miss me?" Krist asked. He wanted to know if Singto still loved him

"He...he was devastated. Broken. When you left, he started drinking. He became an alcoholic. He stopped going to office. He waited for you but when you didn't return, he burnt everything of yours. He punished himself. It took a alot of time and effort for us to bring him back." Ben replied
