Looking Back

Narrator's POV

Maybe there's a chance we messed up, we gave up too soon and don't have a chance to look back. We perhaps need to start again and do what we messed up in the past and make the right choice in the present. It won't be easy but it's worth the chance to start another chapter in the story that was once unfolding. It's all in due time.

Sonic's POV

(Next Day, Morning)

Well it's official the gang is back. Rouge woke us up in the crack of dawn and she, Shadow, Wave and Jet managed to all come together.

Shadow: (slamming the car door) finally i can stretch my legs

Sonic: whoa, someone is not used to long drives here huh?

Shadow: (growls) oh, i can't deal with you so early in the morning Sonic

Then as he walks off near Silver and Espio we all start to say hello to each other and as Rouge was entering inside the house she steps back in amazement noticing how clean the house was

Rouge: wow, you all clean up real nice

Amy: well of course, it's great to have you here Rouge. I bet you miss this place a lot

Rouge: (resting on the couch) oh i miss this place almost everyday, it's nice to finally have a break from work. All that paperwork and all those missions it's exhausting being cooped up in an office wouldn't you say Shadow?

Shadow: it wasn't all bad, but then again i needed a break

Then as we were all talking Ej came down making some coffee. We all greet him as he finally woke up

Ej: guys, not now, i'm really tired

Then we all hush up and watch as Amy goes over to him

Knuckles: (whispers to me) trouble in paradise?

Sonic: (shakes his head and whispers) you have no idea

Amy's POV

Ok, well Ej is already tired and quite in a mood today. I mean, after last night he crashed in my arms while watching the movie. I helped him up to bed and then I ended up going to sleep after that. I hope he didn't go straight back to work after I took him to bed. But who am I to argue?

Amy: Hey sweetie, is something wrong? You slept well huh?

Ej: oh, oh yes i did (cups her cheeks) i'm sorry i just had a phone call with my boss again

Amy: Good or bad?

Ej: bad, he had a mission for me to go to but i can't go obviously

Amy: Why is this mission so important?

Ej: we've been searching for this guy Rosie, and we finally might have gotten a chance to catch him. But since i'm here i can't go and do my job
