~~~Jemma's pov~~~
Since being taken by the Kree, I have become a servant to this lunatic alien with a god complex named Kasius, had my hearing taken away by some temporary deafening device, forced to watch a man get brutally murdered, and now the royal blue freak told me I need to fix a problem he's having with one of his Inhumans.
Joy.
The Inhuman trainer, Tye, was already in the room with the Inhuman when I got there. I expected the situation to be harsh, but what I was not expecting was for the Inhuman to be a little girl.
I entered the room and saw her sitting on a bed entirely still as Tye yelled at her.
"You have to at least try! Or you will never be able to control your gift!"
"Stop! What's going on?" I got him to turn to me.
"She refuses to use her gift. It's your problem now. Fix it." He sneered and then stormed out, leaving me alone with the young girl.
When I was sure we were alone, I walked to the bed and sat beside her.
"Hello. I'm-"
"Jemma Simmons." She nodded, smiling.
I was taken aback by that. "Uh, yes. So, is your Inhuman ability reading minds?"
"No. I just know you from the stories my mom tells me." She shrugged.
"Your mother? How would she... Never mind. What's your name?"
"Catherine. But everyone calls me Cat."
"I have a really good friend whose name is also Catherine. In fact, you look a lot like her. How old are you?"
"Six."
"Okay, so you're a six-year-old Inhuman-"
"I'm not Inhuman."
"What? But you must be. You wouldn't be here otherwise."
"They just think I'm Inhuman because I can do this." She lifted her right hand, which was now surrounded by green mist.
"Magic?" I asked in surprise.
"Yep." She nodded, popping the p.
"How?"
"Well, I got it from my mom, and my mom got it from my grandparents. My grandparents, or at least my grandfather, was taught magic. My grandmother got it from my great-grandmother."
"You certainly know your family history." I chuckled.
"My mom tells me everything. After all, she learned a lot when she was stuck with the Time Variance Authority for three years."
"Hold on. What?"
That's when a new woman walked into the room. She had light brown hair, the brightest green eyes I'd ever seen, and she was wearing a beautiful green stoned locket with a golden chain.
