Chapter 11

Melody's POV
"Mel ?" I heard Michael ask after he turned around . But instead of answering him I decided to just ignore him and concentrate on lily ."come on Lily let's go ! Quick so we can go pick up your birthday cake " I said as I held my hand out for lily to take which she did . As I started to walk away I felt someone pull me back by the shoulder . " Mel don't ignore me ! Why did you leave me like you did ?!" Micheal said raising his voice . "I'm sorry Michael I've got to go give my daughter the best birthday ever now if you'll excuse me " I said as I turned around and picked lily up before walking back to my car leaving micheal gobsmacked . Once I buckled lily in and got into the car i heard lily ask who micheal was . "Oh he's just an old friend " I said lying quickly . After I reversed out of the car park I headed over to the bakery down the street from where I live and had lily pick a cake .we then headed home . When I pulled up in my drive way I noticed a moving truck across the street meaning the people that lived there are moving out and new people are moving in . Hopefully they're nice I thought to myself . While I was thinking I unbuckled Lily and helped her out of the car . Once she was out of the car I closed the door and locked the car before heading inside with lily . When we were inside i took Lily over to her room so that I could put her down for her nap . As soon as she was I asleep I closed her door and headed over to my bedroom to get changed into some comfortable clothes. Then I put Lily's cake in the fridge and checked my messages. I noticed I had one from luke It said "hey mel guess what ... me and the boys are in la for the next month and I was wondering if I could come over and see my god daughter ? Please ring me back when you get this " I immediately ring him back after hearing the message and after 3 rings he picks up . "Hello ?" I heard someone say but it didn't sound like luke . "Hello" I replied . "I'm sorry who is this" the person on the other end of the phone asked . "This is um melody " I said still not sure who was on the other end . After a couple seconds of silence I heard the person on the other side say "melody ? Wait how does luke have your number ? Why are you calling luke ?" I heard the person say and from the tone in their voice while asking these questions I'm gonna say it's micheal. "Yes it's melody and can you please get luke to ring me back when he can " I said before hanging up . Oh my god it's like the world is forcing me to talk to him today.
