Chapter 18

Jessica's POV
I was just putting Olivia and josh down for a nap when I heard my phone go off . I quickly ran over to my phone and answered it without looking at the caller ID . (Skip phone call) after mel called me I told Ben that I'm going out and that I'll ring him to tell him if I'm home for dinner or not and headed out to my car . Not long afterwards I pulled out of the drive way and pulled up at mel's house . I got out of the car and headed over to the front door .just as I was about to knock on the door it opened and mel appeared. "Hey " I said greeting her . "Hey can we talk outside ? I don't wanna disturb lily" she said stepping to the side so that I could enter the house . "Yeah sure " I said walking towards the backyard and exiting the house . after we were both seated on a chair on the back lawn I turned to mel and asked "what happened?" . A couple of seconds after I had asked the question she burst into tears . "Mel are you ok ? Tell me everything that happened !"
"W-well I was about the drive over to your place to see if you would babysit lily for me because I had work . B-but as I was putting lily into her car seat l-luke came over to me and asked if he could babysit. Me not really having much time till I'm due to start work said yes and after I came home luke and accidentally said something to Michael and then he started yelling at me and I yelled back before taking lily into the house and locking the door . Then Michael knocked on the door and asked if we c-could talk a-and me being the push over I am said yes . He then apologised for yelling and asked if he could hold lily and so me being me asked Lily first and she said yes so I let him hold her then I just with out even realising it till it was too later spoke my mind and asked him if he forgave me for not telling me and h-he t-told me he d-doesn't!" Melody said bursting into more tears . "It's ok mel he'll come around eventually!" I said trying to cheer her up . "You really think so ?" She asked wiping her eyes . "I know so !"
