Chapter 17

Melody's POV
"Mummy pwease stop crying!" Lily said coming over and sitting next to me . "hug ?" Lily asked opening her arms. "Sure " I said reaching out to hug her . When we break apart I hear a knock at the door . "Mel let me in please !" I heard Michael say knocking again . "please mel open this door ! Ok I'm sorry for yelling at you can we just talk please ?!" Michael begged from the other side of the door . I decide that I'll talk to him so I picked lily up and stood up. I then opened the door to see Michael sitting on my porch with his back facing me . "M-Michael ?" I said in a voice loud enough for him to hear . "Mel I-I'm sorry ! It's just a really big shock to find out that your ex girlfriend left to go give birth to your daughter and that you've already missed three years of her life " Michael said standing up and walking closer to me and lily ."I know and I'm sorry for not telling you sooner " I said looking at the ground . "Can I h-hold her ?" Michael asked looking at Lily . "Lily can Michael hold you ?" I asked the three year old in my arms . "Sure" lily said with a smile . I gently handed lily to Michael and stepped back . The resemblance between them both was amazing! She had his eyes and his cute little nose . I must of looked at Michael then to lily about 100 times the resemblance just amazed me so much . "So Michael do y-you f-forgive me for not t-telling you ?" I asked Michael in a nervous tone . "To be honest mel I-I don't really know yet .... It's just you left me with out a goodbye and just when I thought it couldn't get worst I find out that I have a three year old daughter ! And at the moment I don't think I'm ready to forgive you for not telling me !" Michael said putting lily on the ground . "Oh" was all i said before he disappeared across the street . I picked Lily up and walked back into the house . Once I was inside I closed and locked the front door and carried Lily over to her room so that I could put her down for her nap . As soon as I was 100% certain she was asleep I pulled my phone out and called my sister .
"J-jess ?"
"Yes um who is this ?"
"It's mel I-is there anyway you could possibly come over now ?"
"I'm on my way !"
"Thanks"
