I was born into a body not my own,
A shell that never quite felt like home,
But deep inside I knew the truth,
That I was always meant to break loose. With every step towards self-discovery,
I shed the skin of my past identity,
And with each new day that dawned,
I found the courage to carry on.

The journey was long and hard,
With obstacles that left me scarred,
But I pressed on, determined to find,
The peace and joy that came with being aligned.

I traded dresses for suits and ties,
And watched as the world 'round me realized,
That the girl they thought they knew,
Was in fact, a boy, shining through.

I stood tall, strong, and unafraid,
As the doubts and fears slowly began to fade,
And in their place I found a sense,
Of liberation and happiness that was immense.

Today I stand proud and free,
A transgender man, filled with glee,
Knowing that my identity is true,
And living my life as my authentic self, anew.

So let us celebrate the diversity of us all,
And embrace those who answer their own calling,
For in the end it is love that reigns,
And the journey towards acceptance that sustains.
