A love unrequited, a heart full of desire,
A boy out of reach, a flame without fire,
My heart beats faster, my mind's in a haze,
As I'm lost in thoughts of him, in endless ways.

I long for his touch, his voice, his embrace,
But he's a distant dream, a vision of grace,
I'm just a fool, a mere mortal soul,
To love him from afar, to never be whole.

But oh, how I crave him, how I yearn for his love,
To be with him forever, to soar high above,
Yet I know deep inside, it's just a wild dream,
For he's out of my league, or so it would seem.

So I'll cherish these feelings, this unbridled passion,
And hold them close, until they turn to ashen,
For even though I'm just a mere mortal soul,
I'll forever love him, and let my heart be whole.
