+ Arya pov
On our way to the lake party we picked up Miles, now, it's not like I don't like the kid it's just... he's a horrible wingman.
"Dude, are you sure we're invited to this party?" Miles asked
"You guys aren't but I am, so don't embarrass me in any way and I won't ditch you," I say smiling sarcastically
"Besides its a lake, public property... oh my god, dude Mikaela's here," Sam says nervously
"Wasn't that the whole point of coming here, for you guys at least?" I say
"Just don't do anything to embarrass me alright," Sam says only to Miles because he knows I won't be around him unless he wants me there
"I'm good, right?" Sam asks nervously
"Yeah you're good" Miles confirms
"Hey bro. That car, it's nice, hey." Trent calls and I walk to stand next to Mikaela to say hi until I see Miles climb up a tree and Sam looking like he's about to either throw up or kill Miles
"So what are you guys doing here?" Trent asks making me roll my eyes
"We're here to climb this tree," Sam says swallowing what's left of his pride
"I see that it looks... It looks fun." Trent says looking at my brother and Miles like they're aliens and I decide that my brother is a big boy and can handle himself so I walk over to the car and sit on the hood to soak up the sunlight
I lift myself onto the hood and lay back trying to take a catnap while basking in the suns warmth. Surprisingly I felt the car beneath me warm up only slightly though.
"Yeah"
"You know, I thought I recognized you. You tried out for the football team last year, right?" Trent fake questioned only wanting to embarrass Sam
"Oh, no, no, that... No, that wasn't like a real tryout. I was researching a book I was writing." Sam fires back
"Oh yeah? What's it about? Sucking at sports?" Trent questioned smirking a little
"No, it's about the link between brain damage and football. No, it's a good book. Your friends will love it. You know, it's got mazes in it. and you know, little coloring sections, pop-up pictures. It's a lot of fun." Sam says trying to keep a straight face
"That's funny," Trent says walking towards Sam about to punch him so Mikaela and I intervene
"Okay, okay. You know what? Stop." Mikaela says placing her hand on Trent's chest and I push Sam back a little
"Hey, guys, I know of a party. Let's go, let's head." Trent calls "Arya, you can come too."
"Thanks, but no thanks," I say faking a smile
"You got to get out of the tree right now. Get... Just get out of the tree right now, please." Sam orders Miles, the complete idiot
"What are you doing?" Sam asks
"Did you see that dismount? All the chicks were watching, even Arya." Miles said smirking at me
"That's because they all thought you looked like an idiot, myself included," I say rolling my eyes at him and walking towards the car
"You're making me look like an idiot. We both looked like idiots just now." Sam said sternly
I notice Mikaela walk away from Trent and get Sam's attention.
"Sam, look she's walking. I suggest you offer her a ride." I say smiling
'...Who's gonna drive you home, tonight?...'
"Hey man, what's wrong with your radio?" Miles asked
"I'm gonna drive her home tonight," Sam mumbled
"What?"
"That's the spirit," I say smiling
"She's an evil jock concubine, man. Let her walk." Miles said
"I'm sorry what, that's my friend you're talking about you piece of shit wingman," I say glaring daggers at Miles
"She lives ten miles from here, okay? It's my only chance." Sam says "You gotta be understanding here, all right?"
"All right, we'll put her in the back I'll be quiet," Miles suggests
"I say we ditch him and get you a girlfriend... or better friends." I mumble to Sam in a joking manner but secretly hoped he'd at least put Miles in the back
"Did you say put her in the back?" Sam asks bitterly
"I called shotgun" Miles defends
"Miles I'm not putting her in the back you gotta get out of my car right now," Sam says getting annoyed with Miles
"Damn I was joking about the whole ditching him thing but ok," I say chuckling I spot one of my other friends Liza and her boyfriend and turn to Sam
"Hey Imma catch a ride with Lisa and Josh, give you and Mikaela some alone time, Miles out," I say yanking him out of the car and Sam speeds off to go get the girl
"Hey Lisa, Josh could you guys give me a ride home?" I ask politely
"Sure thing Game of Thrones" Josh answers smiling at me because of his 'clever' nickname
"I told you I was named before the Game of Thrones, and thank you," I say smiling
"Hey I saw your brother pick up Mikaela is that why you're riding with us?" Lisa asked smirking
"Yes ma'am it is.' I say smiling back
"Aw look at you being a good sister, are you coming with us tomorrow morning?" Lisa asked
"Yeah, anything to get out of the house you know that," I say smiling as we pull into my driveway
"Damn were you speeding Josh?" I ask
"Maybe a little" Josh says smirking at Lisa and kissing her
"Oh come on guys you couldn't have at least waited for me to leave to the truck first?" I ask covering my eyes
"Hey, you're the one that wanted to hang with the big kids," Josh said
"If that's how you say I skipped a grade ok, and I'm only one year younger than you seventeen-year-old hormonal bags of flesh." I fire back
"Aw look she has new insults too, our babies growing up, I'm so proud." Lisa gushes causing both of them to laugh and I climb out of the car with a look that can only be matched with the same face you'd make with accidentally drinking sour milk and stood in front of the truck making sure they were looking at me and flipped them before bowing and walking inside the house
