Shannon was on her way to the cafeteria. Calzones was on the menu for today. She got in line. Every 4th and 5th grade student was getting their trays. The cafeteria lady saw Shannon coming. "Lunch ticket, please," she said.
Shannon dug into her jeans pocket, but her ticket wasn't there. "Oh no, I lost it!" she gasped. "I lost my lunch ticket! What am I gonna do?"
"Relax, honey, you can still get your lunch!" chuckled the cafeteria lady. Sighing in relief, Shannon got her tray of food, and sat down next to her friends, Shaun, and Beverly. She ate her calzone, savoring the meaty taste, along with the rich texture of the marinara sauce.
Shannon lucked out this time.
