My eyes widened, my body automatically stopped. Ilang pulgada na lang ang pagitan ng dulo ng patalim at ng dibdib ni Nyx, nahinto ako sa paggalaw.

Bigla akong pinagpawisan sa kabila ng lamig ng silid at ng ulan. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang gagawin ko. Natatakot akong lumingon, pero natatakot din ako na walang gawin.

I slowly looked at her direction. At the other side of the room where it can not reach by the moonlight. There, in one of the beds, a woman is sitting, eyes closed.

Mas lalong namilog ang mga mata ko nang makilala siya.

"H-He... mera?"

I thought that she's fucking unconscious?! I had forgotten that she's here! I thought that she's already dead because she's not waking up!

Fuck it! I didn't felt her presence until she talked!

Muli akong nakakilos, inalis ko sa tapat ni Nyx ang patalim. Deretso akong humarap sa kaniya. "Y-You're awake!"

I sound cheerful. For some reason, I'm making weird hand gestures. 

"The academy is getting attack right now, really!" I sound convincing, I think. "I really want to fight the intruders you know, but then I remember, oh! There are people at the clinic!"

Marahan kong hinawakan ang dibdib ko. "Ayoko kayong iwan, natatakot akong mapahamak kayo."

"Kaya pinuntahan ko kayo ngayon. Balak ko lang sana kayong bantayan, but it's a good thing that you're awake now! We should go with your brother!"

Why is it so quiet?

"We'll go somewhere safe, okay?"

Parang kausap ko ang hangin. Ang ulan lang ang sumasagot sa mga salitang binibitawan ko.

Nakaharap lang ako kay Hemera, wala siyang imik. Her eyes are closed... so why does it feels like she's watching me through my soul right now?

I faked a chuckle. "So, let's go?"

No reply.

I waited for seconds, blinked five times, still no response.

I look like a fool, hands raised while waiting for her to reply. My eye started twitching.

This bitch. You're not just blind, but deaf too?

Then, the voices inside my head started laughing, they starting saying things.
