Sam

Dean stood over Emma's bed, rubbing his forehead. He was tense and worried. "Hey she'll be fine" I told Dean. She had woken up from this before and she would do it again. Dean pointed to the mark which was now an inch or two away from her ear.

"Does that look fine to you Sam?" Dean asked, startling me at how angry he sounded. He sighed, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "I'm sorry. I just-you should've seen her Sam. It-it broke my heart" he said quietly. "And we just went and saw another murder where a infant was left parentless because of Jackson!" Dean exclaimed.

"Dean everyone is working on it" I tried to calm him down and give him a little hope. Dean just laughed sourly and shook his head.

"He's going to school and we're letting him. We are letting him live which means we are letting people die. He is a monster Sam. A killer monster. The things we are supposed to kill" Dean became worked up. "If Dad could see us now" he muttered under his breath.

"Dean Jackson isn't the kanima. Not really. He's just got some problems. You read what Emma sent us. There's a way to fix him. We're supposed to kill evil things that are past saving" I told him. Dean just sighed deeply, rubbing his forehead again.

"Any word from Bobby on Emma?" Dean asked. I shook my head no. Bobby had checked in a few times to get information and updates on Emma and the kanima but he has been buried in research and hasn't found a thing. "How about Cas? He says he knows Emma's name and then just takes off" Dean shook his head.

"I know" I agreed with Dean about how ridiculous everything has become. "Maybe he'll think of a way to save her" I suggested. Dean nodded, but I could see it in his face that he didn't believe it. Dean really did love her and so did I. Watching her waste away like this was-was painful.

A silence settled over us, the only sound filling the room was our breathing and then a knocking sound. Dean and I turned towards the door just as Scott and Stiles barged in.

"Finally" Dean grumbled. "Your girlfriend nearly dies and you take several hours to show" Dean spat, clearly tense. Stiles tensed, his eyes shifting to the ground, Dean picking up on this immediately. "What?" he asked, standing up.

"She's uh not my girlfriend anymore" Stiles said quietly, scratching the back of his neck, his eyes going everywhere but ours. "We broke up" Stiles added. Dean frowned, his eyebrows scrunched together.

"You broke up with her didn't you?" Dean asked, taking a step closer. Stiles went pale, which was scary considering how pale he already was. "She would never break up with you. She loves you to much" he pointed out.

Stiles sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I did but it was because we're growing apart and it's going to happen at some point. She doesn't even talk to me anymore-"

"That's because she's hurting!" Dean shouted, Stiles jumping. "You left her because she doesn't talk? She doesn't talk because she is so traumatised by losing her family! You are left her when she needed you the most!" Dean yelled.

"Dean calm down" I said, my voice low. Dean laughed sourly.

"That's why she was crying Sam. When I showed up she was sobbing. Sure it was partly because of the unbearable pain she had to suffer for saving their asses but it was also because he broke her heart" Dean said, his eyes sending daggers at Stiles. "You selfish son of bitch" Dean swore, lunging forward. I grabbed Dean, yanking him back.

"Dean stop" I said, Dean trying to break free from my arms which were wrapped tightly around him. Dean finally broke free, throwing my arms off of him with a huff. Stiles was backed up against the wall.
