I couldn't sleep last night. Not one little peep. I'm surviving off of coffee and candy. I couldn't sleep when I was planning all my sentence starters last night. Astrid was fussing at me because I kept making noise.

The girl needs her beauty to sleep.

This is my chance. New school, new me. I planned out everything I was going to say, from greetings to responses. I'm pacing back and forth in my room in my pajamas reading over my index cards. Astrid followed me back and forth before falling after getting dizzy. I muttered to myself over and over again. It's currently 6:02 and the school doesn't start until 8:15. but I still need to get ready, wash my face, do my hair, and eat.

I heard my mother walk in and stand there confused as to why I'm pacing back and forth.

"Um, Mason, baby. What are you doing?" She asked. I continued to organize my cards and look for a place to put them.

"Um, I'm practicing," I said looking around for an outfit. "Also I didn't pick out my clothes, because usually, I have one outfit every day. But now I have options and I'm indecisive." I held up two outfits to my chest.

"Navy vest or beige? I could wear a navy vest with black cargo or a beige vest with light-wash jeans." I rushed out. She tapped her chin and looked between the two and pointed at the beige. I lay the navy outfit on my bed and lightly pushed my mother out.

"Go, go, go, go. I need to get ready." she laughed as she exited the room. I closed my door and hurriedly put on my clothes and then gasped.

"Oh shoot, I forgot to do my hair!" I hopped to the bathroom still trying to put my pants on. I grabbed my brush and brushed my hair out. I shake my head, letting my hair fall fluffy. After I clip it back and wash my face and put on my moisturizer. I put deodorant and cologne on that's not too strong but nice and sweet.

I rolled my lint roller and rolled it up and down my outfit and put my socks on and slipped on my bunny slippers and feed Astrid and headed downstairs bumping into my dad making a fall from impact.

He's a big dude.

He frantically helped me up and brushed down my shirt. "You okay? I'm sorry I didn't see you there." I glared at his little joke and he laughed and threw his arm around my shoulder and we walked to the dining room.

I need to work on my glare.

My mom says I look like a bunny because my nose twitches.

"Why are you in a rush? You still have like an hour till school." He asked.

"Dad, it's a new school. I have to make sure I make a good impression." I pulled out my cards and handed them to him. He looked confused but took them and read through them. He raised his eyebrow and looked at me.
