I was in the library searching for a couple of books I want. I came here wanting only three and now I am walking around with over 10 books in my hand.

I come to this library so much that I've made friends with all of the staff, and I have some privileges here that others don't.

As I was saying, I was walking with 10 books in my hand and I already know my way around here so I didn't need to see what was in front of me since usually, people would move away when they see a girl that has blinded by books in front of them.

But this person decided to bump into me, causing both of us to fall and my books to fall everywhere.

I groaned and set up to see that the person that bumped into me was a guy and I was sitting on top of him.

"I'm sorry Are you ok," the boy asked, and "yea are you?" "I think so.. my head still hurts, but-" "your nose"

"What?" he asked confused "Your nose is bleeding," I said surprised "Oh my God get up," she said help me up.

-Jaden's pov-

She grabbed my hand and told me to follow her, but she was already pulling me toward where she was going.

She took me inside a room that looked like it was for staff only and told me to go to the bathroom sink and I followed her orders.

I got into the bathroom and saw what she was talking about. My nose was bleeding. I quickly open the tap and washed the blood that came out.

"I got an ice pack come here," she said and I closed the water and went to her with tissues from my nose, trying to stop the bleeding.

"Sit down," she said and placed the ice pack in a towel, then placed it on my nose "I'm sorry," she said "It's okay," I told her but she still kept apologizing.

I found it cute, I mean she is cute

After the bleeding stopped, she apologized again, and I chuckled "I told you it's fine no need to apologize" "I know I'm just.." "Sorry" I said and she smiled "yea"

I looked around the place and asked her "Isn't this the staff room" "Yup but don't worry I got special privileges since I've made friends who work here, and I come here a lot"

" I'm guessing you come here to read since you were holding so many books when you bumped them into me" "Excuse me I was holding books that were covering my view you on the other hand had none," she said and my cheeks heated up.

"Yea, I had my head in my phone, sorry" "Anyway what are you doing here?" "It's embarrassing," I said.

"Come on after what happened between us I think we should put embarrassing on the side" "Okay so.. recently on TikTok I've been hovering over something called Booktok" "yea I'm the queen of Booktok, what book were looking for?"

"Something called Better than the Movies and the shatter me series" "Mhmm good choices," she said.

"Do you want me to help you find them cause I know exactly where they are" "Yes please, I've been searching in this library for 30 minutes now and I think I might go crazy"

She giggled and butterflies filled my stomach

How can my body react to a girl I just met?

I mean, I don't even know her name for god sake

"I'm Jaden," I said and she smiled "Y/n" "Y/n a perfect pretty name for a pretty girl" She blushed and handed me her hand "Come on lover boy, let's get you your books"

I held her hand and exited the staff room together.

She took me upstairs to the third floor. Yes, this library is so big and beautiful.

Y/n knew exactly where the books were, and I found it fascinating that she did.

"Alright these are the books you wanted," she said, handing it over to me. "Do you have any recommendations?" I asked and her eyes twinkled.

Y/n showed me all her favorite books, and I bought some of them which she was really happy about.

"So do you also read here?" I asked and she nodded taking me to her favorite place to read and it was a nice place at the end of the hallway of shelves.

"I always like to read here. It's very peaceful" she said and I looked around and nodded getting what she means.

This place is nice

"So from the books that I have right here do you have any that you haven't read yet?" I asked "Up I haven't read better than the movies yet"

"We should read it together then" Y/n looked at me "You want us to read a book at the same time together?" "I mean.. only if you want to"

"Yea.. I like that idea" she said and I felt so happy and excited.

We picked up all the books that Y/n dropped earlier and went to the counter to check them out.

"So how about we meet here tomorrow at 4?" I asked "I'm not sure I'll have to check with my schedule," she said.

"Maybe you should give me your number so we could chat about it," I said blushing "Sure"

We switched phones and planted our phone numbers giving our selfs a nickname.

"Bookstore girl, very creative," I said "Excuse me you wrote the same thing Bookstore boy" We laughed and I said "I'm changing it to the pretty girl" She blushed and said "Fine I'll change mine to lover boy"

"Okay," I blushed smiling "Bye pretty girl. It was nice to meet you" "Nice to meet you too lover boy"
