New Beginning

It was quiet in the house...it's always been like that since the incident happened with Sonic's friends, he really hadn't done much.

Every picture he saw of him and his husband he would always just himself in the location, the two wedding rings on the nightstand, his mind would only show him his own ring on the nightstand, as if he never had gotten married.

Scourge had noticed the sudden change in Sonic's attitude, let alone his appearance...he was just less talkative, refused to eat anything, or even get out of bed...this negative energy, was just eating away any positivity that he had left in his mind.

"Come on Blue you got to eat something?" Scourge said looking at Sonic.

Sonic only looked at the plate of frozen pizza, he just pushed it to the side...that last attempt of his friends just trying to help him...when he didn't need it, just completely broke him, he was doing fine without his friends being a constant reminder of his life could've been like.

Scourge and him started to argue, just about stupid things...since he just got easily annoyed now. It was always like that for weeks.

It was quiet in the living room, Sonic was sitting on the couch.

"Do you think we could ever be like them?..." Sonic finally said breaking the silence, as he looked over at Scourge.

Scourge kind of knew what Sonic was talking about, his friends mostly...and their happy lives. He almost didn't want to respond, cause he didn't know the answer to that himself.

"We don't know that unless we try"

Sonic only growled at the response, he been trying his whole life...and yet it only brought him, the never ending nightmare of being alone. "Try...I feel like I've been trying my whole life, and all it's gotten me was the constant reminder of oh I'm always gonna be alone" he just turned to Scourge. "I hate it! Cause while everyone is this world can have happiness!! I don't get it...the chances of happiness I get, are always taken away!! And I-"

Scourge just pulls Sonic closer to him, "Gee...blue it's okay to be jealous, but you didn't have to be depressed about it" he admits. "And who said you were alone"

Sonic looks up at Scourge, before nuzzles into his chest...he may not physically alone, but mentally he was...a lot just have been taken from him.

"I just feel alone..."

"Well don't be, cause I'm right here and not going anywhere" Scourge said before he lets out a sigh. "I and I may not know if we could be happy, we can always just see how long it takes us"

Sonic felt his heart flutter, he hadn't had that feeling since the first time Scourge kissed him. He looked away...he didn't really deserve someone like this Scourge...hell he didn't even deserve his husband. He felt fingers being intertwined with his hand and he looked over, to see that Scourge was holding his hand. He felt tears forming in his eyes.

"No matter what, I'm gonna here"

He couldn't get upset over that...it was the same phrase his husband said to him.

"J-Just F-Fucking kiss me!!" He demanded.

Scourge obliges pulling Sonic into a kiss on the lips, Sonic tearfully kisses him back. Though it was only a little bit of hope...but it was enough to at least bring some color back to his peach pelt.

"Mmm~" Sonic moans feeling Scourge's hand giving his rear a hard squeeze. When they pulled apparent Sonic only wags his tail.
