"I finally heard back from my father".

Draco was walking around the halls of Hogwarts with Lilith beside him, Crabbe and Goyle walking behind them. Their friends were waiting for them in the Slytherin common room. Draco had gotten a letter earlier that day from his father regarding the incident with Buckbeak from earlier in the year.

Lilith nods, "What did he say?".

He reaches into his pocket and hands her the letter, "The beast has been sentenced to death".

She smirks, "Seems a bit harsh, don't you think?".

"Well, his god-daughter got seriously hurt so I doubt he sees this as an overreaction".

She pockets the letter as they head down to the dungeons. They meet up with their friends before heading up to Divination. Entering the classroom, they split off into groups of three and stayed close to the back of the room.

The first group was Lilith, Draco and Pansy. Next to them was Blaise, Neville and Daphne. Lastly, behind them was Crabbe, Goyle and Theo. There was a crystal ball in the middle of each table. Lilith looks around and notices that Harry wasn't sitting with his friends.

Professor Trelawnley begins, "Crystal-gazing requires that you clear the Inner Eye. Only then will you...See. Oh my, what do we have here?".

She walks over to Harry, eyeing his crystal ball. For the first time, Harry looks genuinely interested in what she has to say. But of course, someone had to object.

Hermione rolls her eyes, "Here we go again. It's the Grim! It's the Grim!".

Lilith scoffs and was about to remark, but Trelawnley beat her to the punch, "My dear, from the moment you first arrived in my class, I sensed that you did not possess the proper spirit for the noble art of Divination. You may be young in years, but the heart that beats beneath your bosom is as shrivelled as an old maid's, your soul as dry as the pages of the books to which you so desperately cleave".

Hermione blushed in embarrassment while the whole class laughed, even Harry was struggling to hide his smirk behind his hand. She tries to defend herself but could only utter out a few stutters. In retaliation, Hermione knocks her crystal ball onto the floor and storms out of the room.

Lilith whispers, "Real mature, Granger".

At the end of class, the students walk out. Lilith and Draco see Harry and Ron talking with Neville. Hermione seems to be nowhere in sight.

Neville shakes his head, "I never realised how disrespectful and tunnel-visioned Hermione actually is".

Ron sighs, "She's gone mental, Hermione has. I mean, not that she wasn't always mental, but now it's out in the open for everyone to see...".

Harry notices something in the corner of his eye. Interrupting Ron, he walks back over to the door of the Divination classroom. He leans down and picks up a crystal ball.

Hermione's crystal ball.

He stands up and walks back over to the group, "I don't know what's going on with her but I'm starting to see her in a new light".

Lilith walks over, "I'm glad you're finally coming to your senses, Harry".

Ron squints, "When the bloody hell did you two become friends?".

She turns to him, "We're not exactly friends, at least not yet. We're...civil".
